Factory farms lock animals in tiny cages, pens and crates, feed them unnatural food, and use unimaginably painful slaughter methods to name a few. You are not "the most humane person u will ever meet". Gene Baur, Ellie Laks, Ingrid newkirk and other vegan animal rescuers are. It will always be inhumane, no matter how its done, to murder a sentient being with a will to live!

Ok, I'm all against animal cruelty and these videos are pretty disturbing. I say treat the animals in at least as humane a way as possible. Now, I'm not saying we shouldn't eat animals, though. Clearly, vegetarians and their nazi counterparts, vegans, are a bunch of pussies. Meat just tastes too damn good. However, I do agree that these animals should not be tortured and such. That's just a little too messed up.

In the state I live in. There are two auction houses for livestock within 50 miles of my home. They are houses of horror. I saw one worker ride a small burro with feet so overgrown that they curled up about 4 inches in the area where they are auctioned off. Even these attendees booed that.

Yes, I am a vegan. Most Americans are unaware of the torture that factory farming, livestock auctions, transportation and slaughter cause the animals. It is not like the old days when great care was given to most of the animals by small farmers. Now, it is large corporations that view them as units, pump them full of drugs, confine them in warehouses and there are no laws to protect them Why on earth would I want anything to do with that????

Few animals are raised on family farms now. Corporations run factory farms where the animals are closely confined, fed concentrated feed, doped with growth hormones, 80% of the antibiotics produced in the US go to keep these animals alive in unhealthy pens, They never touch the ground, are raised in buildings. Cutting trees for TP is another issue that is related to environmental problems. The issue in hand is about 'factor farming'. I recently talked to a local farm owner who stopped milking his cows 20 years ago! The industry farms had taken over. He lost his business and now farms healthy beef cows that live with their families. The least the world could do is let these animals live in natural habitats and allow the mothers to be with their babies. Today they don't even get much dignity.
