Haha. The shooter speaking. I forgot about this video until today. Looking back all I can think is wow, my voice was high pitched. And just to address the COD fanboy statements, as some people said down lower on the comments list that rifle had a SWAT style trigger upgrade and a bunch of other upgrades to it which would lead me to make the statement that it is a sniper rifle. Isn't that the damn truth. I am so tired of hearing about dessert eagles and barrets I could screem. I have been an avid shooter for literally all my life and an avid gamer for a very long time but I can't stand some of the twerps that will rant and rave about a good or bad a gun is when they have not even shot it. just to clear up some confusion, most "sniper" weapons are in fact based on the action of the remington 700. i'd say the large majority of long range and accuracy rifles in use by the military and law enforcement use this same action if not this exact gun. M40's, M24 and a few other military weapons are basically modded 700's. then you have companies like tactical ops who make custom rifles based on remachined 700 actions and barrells. the r700 is the defacto long range/tactical weapon.

barrett makes several 50 cal long range rifles. the model in call of duty is called the M82A1 IRL like LieutenantScout said.

and the barrett 50 cal isn't considered a sniper rifle. it's a long range tactical rifle made to deliver armor piercing rounds on lightly armored vehicles. there's not one 50 cal that snipers actually consider a sniper weapon.

and btw, even in the game the M40A3 is better in everything but rate of fire due to being bolt action. that gun is based off the 700.

R700 is my favorite sniper rifle exept from cheytac (but thats more like a "camp" sniper rifle). I think R700 is the simplest sniper rifle in the world. It's a barrel, scope, grip, stock and a fire-mechanism. Nothing more. If you don't mod it than.
