@kchfyb Thanks! He's 2 now... can't believe how time has gone... he's still a cutie though (not to mention spoilt) I wish I had videos of my others at this age!
@hal0weeeeen my baby is 8 months and also VERY spoiled. He was 3 months when I got him though so quite a bit older than your little guy in the video!! He looked a lot like him there too, although now he's almost completely changed colors. I remember when they used to sleep like rocks though. Not so much anymore lol. Very cute though! Makes me want another one although I need to get Buddy better trained before I add a little bro or sis for him.
@donnytiek - Ferrets are high maintenance pets, a lot of things can harm them easily. Make sure you can give them at least two hours of play time outside of their cage, they are very social animals and require a lot of attention. They can get sick very easily and vets are costly. Blockages and cancer, also insulinoma and adrenal disease are common in ferrets and are expensive to treat. Please do your homework before getting one! If you want to talk further PM me :)
@hal0weeeeen they need a lot more than just 2 hours! more like... 17 hours lol. my ferrets have free run of my house 24hours a day and i only see them sleeping about 7 hours per day.
@mjohnnidis Which is why I said "At least 2 hours".... Ferrets will adjust to your timetable. Two of my ferrets sleep 15+ hours a day and the other three sleep maybe 7 - 8 hours a day. My ferrets are happy to have 2 hours of high energy play time and then go back to bed on days where I get home late. They are also quite happy to snooze away in their cage. Right now my ferrets have been out of their cage for nearly 2 hours and are already all asleep.
cont: Play time depends on their activities and the ferrets personalities and age. The two that sleep a lot are 2+ years old and the other three are 1 year and under. They have free range of the house when they are out of their cage and still sleep quite a bit.
@hal0weeeeen because they excepted that they aren't aloud outside more than 2 hours, they have given up on life. they are DEPRESSED! i bed you, set up a ferret room. dedicated a whole room to them ferret proff it and let them have it to themselves 247. ferrets sleep alll day r either 1, old, 2, depressed, or 3, bored. it is NOT HEALTHY and pure torture. its like keeping a dog or cat in a cage all day, shoving intelligent creatures ina cage all day is pathetic!! They aren't hermit crabs!
@greekigurli You really need to learn how to read my comments. Like I have that my ferrets are out ALL DAY EVERYDAY unless I am home late and my mother has forgotten to let them in. My ferrets are by no means DEPRESSED at all. They are out of their cage up to 18 hours a day.
I already said that the two ferrets that sleep the most are over 2 years old. They have highly interactive and energetic playtime everyday. My ferrets are also working ferrets.
@greekigurli I am a hard core ferret lover too :) But my information is correct. I've been showing ferrets for a while now. Ferrets can live with only two hours of play time but it isn't something that they'd like to do everyday. Times when I get home late and my mum hasn't let them in or we've been out for longer than expected are the times when they are our for 2 hours. But we have intense play sessions with them :)
@hal0weeeeen It's great to hear there is someone else out there that lets their ferrets roam free. My house is ferret proofed so they can wander when I'm home. They get put in their room when I'm sleeping or not home.
@AphroditesSecrets Mine aren't free roam 100% of the time but they do get a portion of the house to themselves during the day :) they go into their cage at night for sleeping outside so that their little bodies know its night time and they need to produce melatonin!
@hal0weeeeen Mine don't have access to the whole house, only areas I ferret proofed. However as long as we are home the parts that are ferret proofed they are free to wander and play in. We had a cage but it didn't work for our first ferret. She chewed on the bars until we let her out and chipped a tooth. So we gave her, her own room for when we are out. However they scratch at the door like crazy but at least I don't have to worry about them breaking teeth.
actually he was 8 weeks when i took this video ( i made a typo in the description) he is now just over a year old and still has a very baby-ish face :)
@papersheep2 He was actually 8 weeks in this video, but I got him from a backyard breeder who wasn't feeding him correctly and he was very sick!! He kept him outside on a 40 degree (celcius) day with no water.
Gomez is now a year and a half years old and ways just over 1.5 kilos :)

@hal0weeeeen duct tape, cord protector, locked doors, and baby gates, are things I found helpful to keep them out of trouble.
