Russell didn't first name his group the Jehovah's Witnesses.. His first group was name the Bible Students and they were christian... Once he died Ruthaferd changed the name to Jehovah's Witnesses and they are what they are today, and your right they are not very christian. I read the history about how the WTS and JW religion started out...the evidence is everywhere. Deep down inside me, I really do hate them but then again, the only JW I allow to set foot in my property is my little sister. Then again...those JWs can't do anything to me! :)

Any one who follows Christ's teachings is a Christian. It does not necessarily mean someone is a good Christian. It depends at what level they do it and how sincere they are. This guy has no right to say JW is a non Christian religion. It is just his opinion. Jesus is of massive importance in the Witness religion. They try to imitate him in every way

@daveymfd Jehovah's witnesses deny that Jesus Christ is God. They say that He is a created being. This is totally contradictory to orthodox (small o) Chrisitan teaching of Jesus as God in the flesh, part of the Trinity. If you do not believe that Jesus Christ is God, you are not a Christian.

Why would you take the word of someone who wasnt there like russel over many eyewitness accounts? Jonah was a true prophet, who's prophecy of the destruction of Nineveh "didn't" come true. (Until much much later than he prophesied.) He got very frustrated with Jehovah when this happened and stated that he 'knew' this would happen due to 'your' being a merciful God. ... which is why I ran away from the commission in the first place. I always find it interesting in how a JW would so called substantiate they have the Truth. Jesus talked not only about "turning the other cheek", but he also told his deciples to "Buy a Sword". You can be a pacifist, but you can NOT deny there have been VERY Just Wars of which Christians and others Fought and Died in in order to allow the another great Gift of God and that is Liberty.

In our society we try to blame everyone else for the problem, rather than look to ourselves as the problem! SIN IS THE PROBLEM, not God. If God were to remove sin it would make Him a liar.
