Well his mentor is Kenta Kobashi and KENTA's real name is Kenta Kobayashi which he used to wrestle under as well. Imagine the mixups in both English and Japanese when trying to call a KENTA match.
WWE seems to believe they can make a star out of DiBiase Jr in due time, but that's a REALLY big roster they have with RAW, SD and FCW. I don't mind him being put on hold while they build new talent. They let him show how good he is sometimes though like in his really decent matchup with Bryan Danielson on that ppv once.

if ted dibiase jr. had ANY mic skills, the guy would probably be one of the top performers in the company. randy orton would be an afterthought.
ted is vastly underrated, and the WWE buries 97% of the moves out there. it's such bull.
