Shows how good the films were in the 80s when they still stand true today and the best films I can think of since 2000 include Rambo 4, Rocky 6 and Die Hard 4. For a good ending to both franchises, I think at the end of Rocky 6 he should've hung his gloves on Mickey's headstone and then at the end of Rambo 4, hung his dog tags on Colonel Troutman's headstone.

Even Asian cinema has taken a bit of a plunge, with Japanese, Hong Kong, Thai and Korean films not as strong as they were in the 90's. Such a shame but I'm so glad I grew up when I did, upto 50's was the golden age of film, 60's & 70's breaking new ground, 80's for ultimate film entertainment, 90s continued on up to mid way and Japanese films really took off outside Asia, 2000 onwards CGI, CGI, remake, CGI, jank.

Rambo is such a legend. Why does he not do more movies? This film is packed with sadness, humour and there's also a lot of seriousness about it. People have lost their families out in the war and I don't know weather it does or not but this shows a slight example to me of what it is like out there.

kirk douglas was orgianlly suppose to play Col Trautman but did not in the end because he felt the movie should have ended like the book they did shoot the alternate ending similar to the book but the studio executives wanted this ending instead at least it help to continue the moive franchise

First Blood is an excellent movie, and definitely one of Stallone's bests. In fact, the ending of this movie is probably is the best acting of his career. Anyway, First Blood was definitely the bgest of the four Rambo movies.
BUT, if I had to pick one movie to represent what an "80's action flick" is/was, Rambo II would be it. Probably the best 80's action movie for sure.

This movie does have a strong and interesting message about the plight of Vietnam veterans, especially at that time when the war wasn't all that long ago. However, this song is possibly the cheesiest, most unintentionally hilarious garbage ever recorded. Regardless of subject matter, every time I've ever seen it the closing credits have me laughing.

I cry everytime I see this movie. They dont make movies like this anymore. This movie wasnt just some mindless shoot em up kill all the bad guys and fuck the blonde girl with the big titties in the end. This movie had a message about how our veterans were treated and still treated to this day. The main character was someone who was a real person coming home from war. You care and feel for him because you know its wrong how they treat him.
Not there more films like this today, and a relic!

everyone know this is nova book story but who knows such a huge US army war in vietnamise during 1950's what was happening if some soldier return hometown and met this bad luck .

First Blood is an excellent movie, and definitely one of Stallone's bests. In fact, the ending of this movie is probably is the best acting of his career. Anyway, First Blood was definitely the bgest of the four Rambo movies.
BUT, if I had to pick one movie to represent what an "80's action flick" is/was, Rambo II would be it. Probably the best 80's action movie for sure.

i think this was an incredible film. a lot of people laugh at stallone and his ability as an actor, but, adding this to his achievement in the first "rocky" film. . .i love this guy, you know?

I was a soldier too at eastern Turkey we were commandos at Hakkari mountain brigade many of our friends died in action...For 2 years I cant sleep I always see my friends faces...ı understand this film and this is the best movie for the veterans

This movie does have a strong and interesting message about the plight of Vietnam veterans, especially at that time when the war wasn't all that long ago. However, this song is possibly the cheesiest, most unintentionally hilarious garbage ever recorded. Regardless of subject matter, every time I've ever seen it the closing credits have me laughing.

I cry everytime I see this movie. They dont make movies like this anymore. This movie wasnt just some mindless shoot em up kill all the bad guys and fuck the blonde girl with the big titties in the end. This movie had a message about how our veterans were treated and still treated to this day. The main character was someone who was a real person coming home from war. You care and feel for him because you know its wrong how they treat him.
