I play Italy. There units are both cheap, and fast, allowing for some pretty awe inspiring Blitz Attacks with the right timing. Even better, is that a lot of players I see seem to underestimate all Italian units as rubbish. In FFA's people quickly tend to learn why you never leave to their own devices, when sharing a border.

I like to play as the Soviets because it fits my play style. Honestly, I found that simply charging an opponent with massed infantry and tanks supported by artillery works just as well or even better than trying to mass an air force. I remember playing against one player who thought that I was going to blitz heavy bombers and attack his armor columns with Sturmoviks, so he built up AA. Boy was he suprised when he had 20 T-34's, over 25 infantry squads, and heavy artillery rammed down his throat!

If they announce something like that I think it better have more balanced gameplay regarding units and more diversity. I'd also like to see them introduce more prototype weapons and maybe have some other things like railway cannons on certain maps for players to control since those were used somewhat in WW2 by the Germans.

I wish this game was more strategic. But it always ends up with people building hordes of heavy tanks. I think that if they made more diversity between the units, like if light tanks moved significantly faster than heavy tanks, you could see more strategies being developed. Also, if they made roads more important, you would see people actually trying to take and hold strategic locations such as cities. Oh well, this is still the best war game on the earth.

@BeefPortugues The Russian 'Red Guard' WERE the best, for one simple reason. Experience. They had to have each survived some of the most bloody battles in the war. Stalingrad, Kursk, any part of the 'Winter War'. They had all seen more war then any other man should have to see. EVER.

this is the most miss leading trailer ever made. for a starters You can't use Navy in Ruse. and their bombers kill all the panthers. Which is shit because bombers can't kill tanks. 47 heavy bombers to kill one maus :L

This is the trailer that caught my attention to RUSE and now I play it quite often ^^ Italy is king. Almost nothing stands in the way of 10 Carro M13 about 2-3 minutes into the game! Just gotta keep the pressure up until the enemy eventually loses. Downside with Italy is that your garanteed defeat if the rush fails. especially if the opponent is Germany. King Tigers > Italy T_T

I mean the french sau 40 tank does more dmage with its howitzer than the sturmtger does.

Britain with it's superior air power. Germany with better, everything. Russia with it's heavy tanks, artillery, and advanced fighter bombers. If your gona be the French. Go turtle. Defend. Maginot bunkers etc.

Plus, if you play on a big map, with a lot of supply pads. Germany has better everything. Jagdpanthers with Tigers.

If I make anti aircraft weapons or use a great many light or medium tanks to rush your airport I can destroy it before you kill all my tanks. Remember in RUSE planes must land before they can attack again.

Or I can always make a few fighter planes and fight your air power on its own terms.

One complaint about this game.

When your playing "Battle" basically skirmish. The AI concentrates to much on airpower. It's really annoying and can get boring eventually. Let's say I put them on Normal so their not focused on a specific type of unit. They will have 30 planes. And only a few tanks.

Finally, once you take the air out..they don't have anything left! Sometimes I really want to use the units like the anti tank for a reason.

THis game wasted so much of its potential. It tired to make a strategy game for the call of duty gamer audience, and it ended up being a dissapointment for both. Even then, the game is INCREDIBLY fun. If they were to make a second one, they would NEED to make the game a pure STRATEGY game. There are also a LOT of mechanical problems with the game, like huge amounts of MICROMANAGMENT and POOR AI. Even then, you should DEFINEITLY get this game. If you play axis and allies, you will agree with me.
