ThinkPad T laptops don't even belong in this universe; they're so wonderful. I've been using ThinkPads since the A20p and my T500 is simply the best laptop I've ever used. Everyone should have one. (well, my inner snob is telling me that I wouldn't feel as special if everyone had a T500 or T400. =P)
ThinkPads are *especially* good for students, particularly in math-intensive fields like engineering. You should only get a laptop other than a ThinkPad if you're *really* poor.
@MarshunMartin I have an R61i but I sometimes feel like other laptops are miles ahead of ThinkPads in design and configurations but Ithen I appease myself but then my friends say that Lenovo is crap and think that acer and asus are better
probably they don't know whats good btw I have an R61i
but there's a problem and this problem is that there is some cheap plastic near the keyboard
@MarshunMartin u have a t500? me to! but do you know how to use the switchable graphics bc i dont know how to switch it on ur turn it on or w/e you do but im stuck with the poor performance intell 4 series express chipset family when i know that it can use a better amd but im not sure how its done any advice?
it's not better, the t400s only offers built in graphics and only a six cell battery. the t400 has discrete graphics and you can get a 9 cell battery, it also costs about $500 less.
my college is selling this model T400 that comes with 4GB is it worth to buy this model for future use?
it stated that it comes with a removable optical drive
any idea what's the weight of it without the drive?
this is my first thinkpad notebook,i'm interested with thinkpad as I saw a lot of engineers are using them in office and construction sites (I'm an engineering student)
Love ThinkPads can't use anything else

I just got a T500, is it true that there is now some flex in the worlds best notebook keyboard?
YouShutupSir 2 years ago
I believe they recently added support to the chassis to help eliminate the flex.

Yea, i saw that shortly after my comment. Notebookreview even revised their review on the t400. Thank you though, I appreciate it.

Is this a new refresh of the T series?
blackberry8830S 2 years ago
This is not a refresh of T. This is a tour cover ThinkPad T400 and T500 announced previously. Past T Series tour was old.
