This is the recording from the 2 metre sessions done in 2004, not the one done for the 2003 phantom agony cd. I think there is an even older version done in 2002, as a demo tape when they were called a different name, not epica.

my friends were having a debate in my facebook wall about the child rape done by priests, i posted this song to show them my opinion, so i got to show not just my opinion but also a song by one of my favorite bands.

it is true that the church isnt exactly the shining beacon of the earth, especially with heretics like the Westboro baptist church spreading their lack of Biblical interpretation. true, the church became its own enemy. however the induvidual has their own choice.

This is the recording from the 2 metre sessions done in 2004, not the one done for the 2003 phantom agony cd. I think there is an even older version done in 2002, as a demo tape when they were called a different name, not epica.

This is one of those songs where you develop a greater appreciation after listening to it a lot of times. Love the song, the voice and the lyrics. I kinda agree with the user about how the growling part can be meh....but I've gotten used to that.

Good Lord, all these comments about religion… I'm a hardcore Christian who loves Jesus, But their is nothing wrong with this song. It's beautiful and was the very 1st song I heard from Epica. I was not turned away. So calm down about if this song means this or that. And lastly, If this song makes you uncomfortable, then simply don't listen to it. Problem solved! But if not, enjoy!

IMO More evil has come from a person having a devout faith in a god than there has been athiests who have committed equal evil.
The label evil comes from other people, for a person VERY rarely ever believes that what they are doing is evil, and most of the time believe they are following "god's will" even though if there is a god and he does have a will, it would be impossible for any mortal to comprehend.
