Everybody whose whining about the price needs to actually think about what they're getting. The sights alone list for over $200. The sling adapter is about $45. Also think of the machining that is done. I use a lot of troy gear on my guns and I have an old Choate stock on an old Mini and I've fired other aftermarket Mini stocks, so I know the difference in quality. The only thing that comes close is the Clyde Armory SCAR stock. There are other differences I'll mention in comments below.
I think the best features of the MCS are: 1) It solves the problem of mounting optics on the Mini with a solid, full-length top rail; Most AR accessories can be used on it (grips, stocks, sights, etc.); 2) like the AR the stock is inline with the bore axis. Actually, the bore sits about 1/4" or 1/8" below and parallel with the stock tube axis. This aids in controlling muzzle rise. See Troy's video of the M14 MCS.
Many people looking for a Mini stock, myself included, have more than enough extra AR parts lying around (and probably a donor Mini-14 as well) and could buy just the bare chassis to build a complete gun. I myself am getting the package because of the money I'll save on the sights and other parts, plus I believe the stock tube and sling mount are already installed at the factory.
Your gettin WAAAAYYY too close to the cost of good AR rifle. I mean, I love the Mini's simplicity, but RDICULOUS PRICE for the cost of the mold?? C'mon!!!!!!! Got any VASELINE to go with that DRY RUB your givin me?!?!?!?!
LMAO, if i want a 5.56 piston gun that looks like that ill go buy a Robinson Arms XCR for less, the whole point of a mini 14 is cost effectiveness. You negate that by your $650 tag for a damn kit.
You almost pulled a fast one on us by not showing how difficult it is to put the upper receiver on when the heat shield is in the bottom of the chassis. If you look a the video you can clearly see the heat shield was left off the rifle because installing the upper receiver with the heat shield in place is almost impossible.
no offense to troy Ind. but the mini 14 and its relatives are pretty weak. In my opinion its as bad as Airsofters wanting to copy the real deal.
M14 all the way! accept no substitutes!! if i wants me a 5.56 ill stick with my LWRC M6A3 with troy hardware if I wants me a 7.62 ill be sticking to my M14....well LRB M14SA maybe ill stick it in a Troy MCS
Looks badass, but not worth the price, i mean shit thats the same price as the weapon itself. For that price i could send my mini to ASI and pretty much get it rebuilt to shoot .5 moa at 100yds.
It looks like an awsome setup..but after the cost of the package and the price of the mini 14 you could get a top of the line ar 15.....just my thoughts on it
Looks great for LE; with factory mags, minis N E V E R, E V E R fail to feed, stovepipe, etc. You just CAN NOT say that about ARs, and we all know it.
Hello, our chassis system alone is only $399. If you choose to buy a package with the m4 grip, buffer tube and m4 stock assembly, along with our folding BattleSights you are going to pay $649.99. The Clyde stock does NOT come with backup sights, and it's between $549-$589 retail. (That's a $60-100 difference) All of our products come with a limited LIFETIME warranty and you will notice there are substantial differences in systems. Thank you for your interest and comments.
Troy Industries is offering 20% off it's mini-14 chassis and basic package from July 26th-Aug 1st. (Use coupon code "mini" at checkout to receive 20% off mini-14 purchase.)
@TroyIndustries I was wondering in the video it show the guy putting the forend liner in the stock but when he actually puts the gun in it the forend liner is not there I have had problems with some minis and the forend liner not fitting on different stocks is this a problem?
this stock and the clyde armory stock are the best iv seen for the mini 14. i have a tapco on my mini and its ok for the money but this and the clyde stock is were its at. this stock is ummm......649.99........i hope thats a type-0.............i hope...........???? lol thats more the i paid for the whole friggin rifle. i guess if you want the best you have to pay for it but damn thats alot of coin for a stock. the clyde armory stock is 499.99 and its made from high grade air craft aluminum.

The SCAR stock still doesn't address the issue of optics

It's cool.... but not $600.00+ cool.... About 2 Bills tops. Especially considering that ATI and TAPCO make a similar product for under a Hundo...

Nice pricing. Idiots want to make sure no one will ever buy this product. No more then 120.00 dopes.

This thing must weigh 5 pounds even without the gun. Not worth it.

I called 'em today. This was the stock I wanted but they told me it doesn't fit the Mini-30. Bummed.

How secure is that top rail assembly fit? Do mounted scopes have the same zero after disassembly and re-assembly?
PeerlessWonder 1 year ago
Now i know it fits the mini-14 but will this system fit on a mini-30?
