  • Is this episode missing a few parts?

  • Actor Gil Gerard is best known as Buck Rogers in the 1979-81 tv series Buck Rogers in the 25th Century.

  • Weird...Mary is supposedly so short-sighted yet she can see her mother laughinh with that man from miles away. Weird.

  • All is well at Plum Creek!!

  • Caroline: don't argue with me !

    I like that...

  • Omg I cannot stand Mary!! How dare she take that kind of innovative & cross the line like that and speak to poor Chris like that!! Caroline & Chris did nothing!! Yes they may have a crush on one another which is completely normal! And I guess as a kid that would be gross & you may not like it, but geez they did nothing! All Caroline did was clean his wound & feed him & treat him kindly! Mary is over dramatic! I feel bad for him. What a brat Mary is! Ugh shes my least favorite character! dud!

  • @KittyGlitterXoXo Cross the line? They may have a crush on one another, and that's completely "normal"? If I was a child (male or female) and saw what I perceived as a threat to my family, my feathers would be raised, too! By your name Kitty, I presume you are female, which I understand your partiality for Chris. My expression of partiality is for Mary, a childhood crush of mine, so leave her alone! Mary was being very protective of her family, God Bless!

  • @greenwich1754 What I mean by "Normal" is that just because your married or in a relationship doesn't mean you can't or wont at some point have a crush on someone other than your spouse/partner.I understand that she may not like it,but I think especially for the day in age that this is supposed to be she was completely out of line & being very disrespectful to her mom & Chris, both of whom are her elders.Neither one did anything inappropriate. I just find Mary annoying. Sorry lol

  • I didn't like the way MARY hurt her MOM, she did apologize nicely, but i never like to see MOM hurt because she is the most sweetest, and kindest woman on TV to me!!!!!!

  • but yeah. laura was a trouble maker all the time. she always seemed jealous of nelly.

and you are right, paul never did punish his kids. they were mouthy, and they also made fun of other.s. remember laura making fun of the fat man when they lived in the city?. and james made fun of the stuttering boy.?. yah they were spoiled kids, because pa felt they didnt need too be pubished//

  • lol...mrs olson only speaks the truth. but i like how her and mr oldson argues lol ..just like my boyfreind and i....we are like the olsons lol...

  • i bet mary had a crush on chris. then she found out chris liked older woman, and that was her ma. and that is when mary flipped out. she didnt like her ma, getting all that attention, mary wanted all that attention from chris. if you think about it.?. thats when mary started hating chris ;)....

  • handyman chris is way better looking then charles lol. it would of never worked out between carline and him anyways, but in that town, charles was hot lol. mary just being protected. i can see mary dating chris. but chris wasnt in too young girls as adam was. chris wanted a mature woman like caroline. but caroline heart and love ,,belongs too charles only.

  • GO MARY GO MARY GO MARY!!

  • Nice bitch slap, Mary! Nellie was deserving it!

  • Mary was right, of course. Chris did love Caroline, but as an ideal, I think, not as someone he believed he could ever possess. He had probably never met a family before who made him want to settle down.

  • Even though he was very respectful and never got out of his place around the family, you could tell that he kinda envied what Charles had. I saw this in Chris' face when he saw Charles return the first time. It was like, "aww, damn, he's back and now I don't feel needed anymore"! Great episode.

  • Mary's voice sounds really weird when she talks while crying :s

  • ahahhaha ohh mary mary mary marrrry !!!!!!!!!!

  • why did you hire him, Mrs Olsen.....umm, cause he's hot and you liked "watching" him do your odd jobs LOL

  • Qual será, mais ou menos, a porcentagem de homens e de mulheres que assistem a este programa? Será que são uns 90% mulheres e 10% homens ou mais? Queria saber se os homens também gostam desse tipo de programa...

  • what is the song he whistle's?

  • @TheBrotherRat "rain drop keep falling on my head" i think....

  • @grimreaper957

    sounds like it lol :D

  • Love Mary -3

  • Mary can be a real deal sometimes. When she gets mad she gets me disliking her!

  • @ladeehollyberry

Shoot, when Mary gets heated, it's like you can almost feel the fire coming out of her. LOL.

  • I got really uneasy as a child when I saw Caroline and Mary yelling at each other. It scared me.

  • @Jennafu832

Mary was very out-spoken and didn't hold back on her feelings when she was young, but it seems like after she lost her eyesight and married Adam, she became more passive and quiet.

  • i rekon i could build a house now that guy made it look easy haha

also who ever dislike this video has issues

  • it gets so irritating when they laugh constantly as the fiddles being played!

  • "When the cat is away, the mice do play"CAN YOU SHUT UP NELLY AND CARE ABOUT YOUR OWN BUSINESS.

  • Mary is so angry with the handyman in this episode. It is very unusual to see her angry as that. She's just furious and wants him to get away. This man is so nice and good-looking and i just think that Caroline liked him as a friend only and never had the intention to flirt with him,but he was in love with her,no doubt about that!

  • caroline liked him............she was just lonely

  • 23:55 NOW YOU COME INSIDE AND TAKE YOUR SHIRT OFF!

    viscious one caroline lol!

  • @sjssrox yeh cos course she wanted to tend to his fall!! ;)

  • Ha Ha Nels A@11:51 I Dont Like To Speak Any Language With You Not That I Get The Chance To Often, Lol

  • I really didn't blame Mary for trying to protect in essence the stability of "the family." Someone like Chris may have had something like this happen before and therefore he goes wondering off to what lies up ahead. Since he realized what he was missing in his life one would hope that he finds something more permanent for himself. I rather understand this aspect on a personal level. Good story, and thanks for sharing it.

  • thank you for the uploads XD

  • 7:12 to 7:22 is dumb!!

  • I'd 'shtoop' him, he's gorgeous :)

  • Oooh Caroline is going to the creek with Charles.....you know what that means!!!! lol

  • What ever happened to the ICE HOUSE Charles promised to built!! I'm still waiting Charles!!

  • @Moviesmoveme

    LOL :)

  • Mrs. Oleson is an asshole.

  • 39:44 I can't understand why Caroline didn't punch Mary in the mouth. Where the hell does she get off talking like that to her own mother? So glad she went blind, best thing that could have happened to that evil heifer! Same witch that punch Nellie in the face doesn't deserve to see another face in her life time. I saw the epi- where Caroline told her not to take a test b/c she started a fire in the barn, damn if Mary didn't go behind her ma back, study and attempted to take the test anyway.

  • @MsSarcia You must mean 39:48. And a mother punching her own daughter? They didn't do that back then. Not even father and son. She would have got whipped most likely. I forget which ep that fire Mary started when she fell asleep. But seriously, Mary in the LHOTP books and show has always been devoted to learning. It's not surprising or horrible to do that and Ma forgave her anyway. Why are you being so critical on Mary's character?

  • @Ddyracer i seen an episode of LHOTP where a father bang his son around, he went out and got him self killed, that son visited his grandparents in Walnut Grove where he sock the crap out of his grandfather. Charles also slap Laura across the face in one episode. I'm not being critical of Mary. Fans make her and Laura out to be sweet/innocent (PERFECT) which they're not. I comment on what I see/not the opposite and It's okay if others disagree with me, it's called difference of opinions. :)

  • continue... Charles/Caroline always forgive Laura/Mary and make excuses for their actions. Even though Mary/Laura stand right in their faces and LIE through their teeth. IMO Charles/Caroline are scare to say no to their kids and mean it, not that it matters either way. b/c Laura/Mary will do whatever they want anyway, regardless and never face any consequences for their actions, ever! They fight, lie, steal, runaway, talk back to adults. Disciplines/respect is not practice in the Ingal home. :)

  • @MsSarcia Laura went on to marry Almonzo Wilder. They had a girl Rose. Mary I don't think ever

married, in real life. As for Albert murdering, where was that shown in the series. I didn't see it. Yes he was hooked on drugs at the end of the show. He did steal but that was only in season five before he met the ingalls. after that he was pretty clean there. Are you just trying flame on the show? your opinions, as you call them, seem exaggerated beyond porportion. Now your making things up.

  • @Ddyracer you didn't know that Albert and his friend was in the basement of the blind school smoking a cigar pipe they stole from some old guy at the blind school cookout? They almost got caught by Esther when Albert toss the pipe and went upstairs, that pipe spark a fire that killed not only Mary/Adam son but Andy mother Alice. Albert ran away from home when Mary came to her senses realizing he was the one that started the fire that killed her son. Charles/John brought Albert back/forgave him.

  • @MsSarcia But that is not murder. They didn't intentionally try to kill Alice.

  • @Ddyracer intentionally or not, point being; his stupidity and negligence actions cost the death of two innocent people and imo that is murder. If they had any law or justice in that town, he would have been charge in contributing to Alice and Mary/Adam son death. How ironic, Charles/John like call in a judge from another town to trial and sentence a man for burning down the Garby barn, but let Albert and his friend get away with two homicide and burning down a house.

  • @MsSarcia The burning of the Garvey barn was intentional. Laws back then were different. People weren't prosecuted for accidents. They were kids getting into mischief that led to horrific results that they would have to live with for the rest of their lives, but they weren't murderers. In order for it to be murder, there has to be malice--even today, it would have been a manslaughter charge, not murder.

  • @Ddyracer, Laura/Almonzo also had a baby boy that died from small pox he caught when they took him to sleepyeye or some out of town place to visit friends. Their little girl caught it too, but Dr. Baker saved her. In fact, Mary had two sons by Adam that died, one she had a miscarriage and the other burn up in the fire Albert started. I'm not exaggerating or making that up Ddyracer nor am I flaming the show. Just stating facts! btw the episode of the fire is called "May We Make Them Proud"

  • @MsSarcia Yes, that sounds about right.

  • @Ddyracer it is right LOL. The Ingall family is curse with new born sons. Charles/Caroline new born son died, Mary/Adam two new born son died, Laura/Almonzo new born son died. Charles goes and adopt two sons, Albert is a drug abuser, murderer, liar and a thief and James is a thief too. Mary/Laura did nothing but lie, steal and rob from others when they were young and not near one of them every been disciplined for their actions.

  • @MsSarcia a murderer ?

  • @azerty12321 Yeah murderer, Albert and his friend stole a pipe from an old man at the blind school fund raising picnic and snuck down the basement of the blind school smoking it, then toss it while it was still lit when Esther caught them... later the house burnt down with Mary&Adam son and Alice inside killing them both. Once again, Albert ran away from home and away from his horrible mistake and when Charles and Garby finally caught up with him, all was forgiving.

  • @Ddyracer, Albert stole and got arrested several times and that was AFTER he met the Ingals. He stole b4 and after. I'm surprise of you, that you didn't know that, seeing how you're a fan. Except for the younger ones, all Charles/Caroline kids were a bunch of liars and thieves, Laura, Mary, Albert and James. All of them ran away from home too except for Mary. Laura/Mary and Albert had anger management problems, couldn't solve conflicts without throwing a punch, just like their father Charles. :)

  • @MsSarcia Jeez. Can't you be more forgiving? No writers are perfect. Laura, Mary, Albert argued quite a lot but didn't hit each other as often as you say. Your hyperbolizing that a bit.

  • @Ddyracer--Laura/Mary & Albert/James had their differences in sibling rivalry and that's pretty normal in a family that size, I never seen them actually hit one another though. The hitting and pushing I'm referring to is when Albert punch and bloody Willie nose for teasing Silvia. Mary punching Nellie in the jar, Laura punching and bloodying Nellie nose and blacking her eye, pushing her down a bank. Mary push Willie to the ground. They don't like to be tease but take pleasure in teasing others.

  • @Ddyracer what became of Mary, Albert and Laura? Some said Mary died in the book... but on the show Charles/Caroline adopted son Albert became hooked on drugs, a liar, thief and a murderer before he die. Mary went off with her seeing husband to NYC and never practice being a teacher again and Laura stop being a teacher too, she became a stay at home mom renting a boarding house some old lady gave her before she died, which later was taking from Laura. among the Ingals 4 dead sons, tragic!

  • @Ddyracer are you kidding me, there's an episode where Charles slap Laura across the face so hard, I felt it. Twice we saw Nels grab a belt to beat Nellie with and then there's that drunk who beat up his son. There's also an episode where a husband shot both his wife and daughter and left them for dead before getting shot to death himself by Charles and company. I'm sorry, the way Mary talked to her mother was so cold and disrespectful it warrant a pop in the mouth.

  • @MsSarcia,

which epi does Charles slap Laura??? I don't recall.....

  • @1985browneyedgirl It's in the episode "The Return of Mr. Edwards" Laura was being a total pain in the butt as usual... Charles was in the middle of trying to stop Mr. Edwards from committing suicide and got into physical altercation with him-- when Laura who was told to stay at the camp site, found Charles/Mr. Edwards fighting and started yelling at Charles about leaving Mr. Edward there to die (Charles wasn't going to leave him)-- Charles slap the bull crap out of Laura to shut her up.

  • @MsSarcia,

thanks alot for the full description of that epi/scene. I rarely watch that epi (i prefer the ones where the whole town are in it), so couldn't remember it.

Wow! so out of character for Charles but sounded like Laura deserved it alright. Thanks again.

  • @1985browneyedgirl- anytime... I was just as shock as you to see Charles out of character. Sure he threatened to whip Laura twice, once in "The Pilot" epi- when he told her not to untie Jack (she did it anyway). and in "Be My Friend" epi-. where she repeatedly disobey. The "Haunted House" epi- she did it again, never any consequences for her disobedience. Laura, Mary, Albert and James had no discipline wse, no wonder they turned out to be murderer, drug addict, thieves, liars and runaways. :D

  • he is sooo nice and kind and loveable and attractive ;-D

  • This man is sooo attractive!

  • LOL you rarely get to see the stubburn Mrs Ingalls like yah did in I Remember, I Remember (flash back) so it was nice to see it after 23:47

  • 13:29 Carrie's first crush HAHAHAHA

  • Chris is very very goodlooking but Id choose Charles any day!

  • Comment removed

  • caroline is sooooo SOOOO beautiful! i am in love with her as well. if i ever met a woman like that and she'd marry me i'd probably have a heart attack of joy!

  • OH MY GOODNESS. I love you for uploading this episode. It's like my favorite!
