It was disgraceful how Peru caved in against the Argentine's in the 78 tournament. There was definately corruption going on there. The Argies bought the Peruvians off when they played each other, the Peruvians sold themselves to the devil for throwing that game. Winning the World Cup in 78 kept the the Junta in power for another 4 years! The Argentine Govt at that time was killing its own people and it took the Falklands War to get rid of them.
