I have bought the same camera, but I have a lot of problems, and the result is so bad!!! Which program do you use to export your movie?

I have the same camera but my uploads have a black border top bottom and both sides. The movie is HDV16.9. Any advice on how to get rid of the borders? Thanks

I had the same problem.

Try capturing in 1920 x 1080... that is 16:9.

You probably did it in 1440 x 1080... that is not the real 16:9.

Hi, Thanks for that. When I capture video in HDV the recording comes out at 1440 x 1080. Do you know how I can capture in 1920 x 1080? My HV40 Legria manual does not show how to change video capturing only shows how to change size of still image recording. Thanks

Yes, you're right... you should capture in HDV (1440 x 1080) ... But when you export your movie you should set the resolution for your output movie to 1920x1080.
