  • I don't think Ion Dissonance has exactly that same tone characteristic you guys are referring to

  • solace was good too, they haven't made a bad record yet. so this one should be awesome.

  • cant wait for new album (

  • not all bands have to be the same album after album, its good when they change it up. minus the herd was fuckin sick, heavy. this new stuff sounds heavy as shit too, cant wait.

  • *theyarecomming* I have been listening to Ion Dissonance since 2003 and i would have to agree with both you, and those who feel MTH is not as good as their previous albums. Yes MTH was brutal as fuck, yes it was technical, yes it still had that Ion Dissonance sound, However, even you can agree that it is not the same as before. I love the chaos the original members created. Overall it is a clash of genres mathcore or Hardcore =P those who prefer extremely fast technical work prefer older Ion =)

  • why the fuck does everyone fuckin hate minus the herd?!!! it may not be as technical (still fucking technical though) as thier last 2 albums, but it was still dark as hell and gave me chills. plus even though they lost Gab .357 they STILL sound like ion dissonance. ahh fuck it. i don't care what anyone says, minus the herd was fuckin heavy.

  • Whats the song called? anyone know this shit?

  • so djenty.

  • @poweroftheweez I hope your joking

  • @comaxpilot are you listening to the fucking tone? their sound has always had that kind of sharp cutting chug. im not trying to compare them to periphery or anything, just saying

  • @poweroftheweez ah ok....i'm just so used to people using djent in terms of music as opposed to tone...i fuckin hate that shit....its definitely a very tight sharp tone but personally i think it has more of a low mid rumble to it than a "djent" tone.

  • @comaxpilot yeah i know what you mean its annoying. but youre right, its definitely got more balls than any guitar tone i think ive ever heard. it helps that they draw out those low chords and dont just cut them right away

  • @comaxpilot lemme you guys out.... "Djent" was a term coined on the popular Meshuggah message board used to describe the unique tone characteristic they acquired by palm-muting (Listen to the NONE EP). Periphery were big contributors back when they were relatively unknown. The sound was acquired via a number of factors. Palm-muting further away from the bridge, usually on a guitar that has a floating one creating a sharper rhythmic tone. And a more mid-range instead of scooped amp tone.

  • @skinnyblackguy yea....i know all that

  • HOLY FUCKING SHIT I'VE BEEN WAITING FOREVER FOR THIS

  • sweet. sounds good. C'mon, lets get back to doing what you do best. destroying fuck. that last album was weak and we all know it.

  • oh my fucking god

    I can't wait :O!

  • Holy shit.. ;o
