@dukenukem710 I'm sad that you feel that way. I personally like America a lot and have found most Americans to be pretty decent people (there are exceptions to this of course). I enjoy living in Japan, but it has its share of problems as well, as anywhere does. The Japanese pop culture things are why many people move to Japan but it is a thin reason to live here long term. The novelty wears off pretty fast. But good luck with your studies.

isnt that kinf of pointless and use less,i mean why swap discs when you can just put the disc you want to check in first,it will either work or it wont,if it dont you could just keep trying other games you have to ensure ts not the drive

@bulletproof2353 Not all disc errors occur when you first try to load up a game, that's just the most recognizable area for it to happen. It could be on the A side or the B side. It might be in the write sector if you try to save/load a game.

The disk is mostly useful for game store owners who want to make sure that the data of the games they are selling is intact, and when you have LOTS of disk system games to sell you need to save all the time you can.

@bulletproof2353 Because just having a disc boot up does not mean it works. A sector on the disc that you would not get to until a later level of a game may be damaged. This checker scans the entire disc and makes sure there are no errors anywhere on it.

@ryanc519 As far as I know! Hiro's still going strong.  I haven't gotten there myself since 2006, but Vinnk is in contact with them regularly.

@ryanc519 Yeah, he is still in business. The retro game market is slowly dying with this like virtual console, emulation, etc, and the future for the used game market with Digital Distribution and all is a bit unclear. But as of today, he is still in business.

They usually come with the disks. I don't know if you can find them by themselves anywhere. Best I can recommend is to buy cheap games you don't care about and take their cases. And, heck, if you trash the disk then that game will rise in value! You'll be doing everyone a service!*

*(disk destroying not a serious recommendation)
