It is easy to get confused in a corn patch or field, and it has a lot to do with the theory of infinity. Some people's minds, when they are put in an area of all alike views, such as a corn field, stalks and all, will amplify the mass of that view and only see that view, and to them, the view (or cornfield), will continue on forever.
