Leather pants can work, but not with a tucked-in shirt.

When he first walks in, with the coat on, he actually looks good - he really does. But as soon as the coat comes off...pow...a good look becomes a fashion crime.

They are the BEST with tucked in shirt. With a shirt out, the overall look is so fagg*ty, like on someone who is sooo shhhyyyyy. I never wear my leather trousers with a shirt out.

I agree that the tucked shirt can look good and I wear mine with a tucked shirt sometimes as well. I was much too absolute :) I think where it goes wrong here is that his shirt is tucked pretty bad [it's like it balloons out around his waist]

Yeah his shirt was silly but I think - in general, if you have baggy leather pants, the shirt should be loose and can be put out, if your pants are rather tight, you should wear your shirt tucked in or a jumper expanding roughly to your waist (but not loose woolly jumper or too long below your waist - that would look silly too).
