  • Yeah you know I LOVE PORL~~~~!!!!!! And he played the keyboards LONG before Roger was there. They just need Perry back! :-)

  • Keyboards are missing !!! Porl Suck !!

  • @FuckZEduck : I have no problems with the guitarsound !!

  • This and All Cats Are Grey are my two all time fave Cure tracks. Thanks for posting.

  • 4 ppl must like the day lol

  • YES! That was my dad who found this one to me, so he's cool and he will always be! ;)

  • Paris album version...

  • @MrLarryAppleton totally

  • This song is just amazing!! I love the feel of this song!! It is so dark and yet so mesmerizing as well!! Love it!! The Cure are a truly phenomenal band of all time!! Robert is just so amazing!! This band is pure perfection!! No one can touch them!! The Cure forever my friends!! ♥♥

  • OUiiiin !! I want Boris, Perry & Roger back !!! The Cure would be no more !!!

  • Damn this is a fantastic performance !

  • This song really sound better without the keyboard and its flat / dumb sound.

The guitars gives a much better mood, definitively. Porl is really a great

    artist.

  • @zarbocrak85

Are you serious ?? I hope it was cynical ...

  • @zarbocrak85 I could not agree more, better control and depth to the song!

  • PORL ... FUCK YOU SO HARD !!!

  • @FuckZEduck hahaha... agree.

  • This is why I love depressing/dark music. It is a form of art that not just anybody can create. It requires a complicated soul, a soul that the fans can relate to; human, fragile, angry and realistic.

Post-punk is in my opinion one of the best genres created. And these guys are one of the best bands that helped if flourish.

  • different, less deep, without keyboards

  • 3:31 they're so into it. I love it!

  • i feel the chill out voice

  • Simon is amazing. Most addictive bassline ever. :)

  • without keyboards it doesn't sound as deep as it used to be. see for example as it sounds in "paris"

  • the cure siempre ha sido una banda con un directo espectacular. Se sacan los teclados y meten la guitarra y le dan una vuelta más a un clásico de todos los tiempos. Excepcionales, eternos... the cure.

  • omg! the best band ever!!!

  • really dark sound....it touches my soul! extraordinary rythm!

  • Amazing performance of this song, although I kind of miss Simon's keyboard playing...but at least he's still doing his own dance.

  • stillmoonmachine, you're right. ;)

The Cure sur ARTE ??? Finallement, cette chaîne n'est pas si nulle.

Ce live est absolument magnifique, j'aimerai qu'ils repassent en France, maintenant que je suis fan.

  • The French always 'got' The Cure like the UK fans did. I like the French...

  • Rare version live de ce superbe titre

  • sunk deep indeed.

  • fucking outstanding. Seventeen Seconds era will always do it for me.

  • Miss the synths in this .....this song was best at version '80's, respect and regards for Porl, but it better with...

  • listen to the silence....at night....

  • I love his black bun.. it looks great on his hair.

  • Comment removed

  • i love this song and they don't need keyboards for it at all... sounds so much better this way!!!! thank god porl is back

  • the public is static... paralyzed... just feeling... it's amazing !! I only see this before in a Nine Inch Nails show when they played Hurt... here in São Paulo... I saw Cure in 1997.. also in São Paulo...

  • makes me cry !!! best band ever !!!

  • Still so nice to hear.

  • porl rules the best guitar of the cure

  • This is such an haunting song. Already 30 years old. My favorite!!

  • Someone has to be there...

  • I love his facial expressions... there's not much French in my head either, Robert! ;) Great song... the classics!

  • The version from the Paris live album was the best I've heard

  • of course. the big drum sound belongs to Boris Williams and Perry in the keyboards.

  • that's jason on drums...

  • bah would be better with the keyboards

  • sleep and be unprotected! At night.

  • A song and a moment that time can't have a hold on. It's all the more true that you feel that time really stops while listening to this song.

  • I was there for my 48th birthday...loved seeing them so many years after they blossomed... wonderful weekend...wonderful addition to the line-up!

  • Hope you had a wonderful birthday!

  • what the hell did he just say..?

i guess really, who cares...as long as the music is good..and it is

  • ufff que wapa cancion, Ericka gracias por hacerme conocer a la cura, en plena galeria brasil, te recuerdo mucho.

  • nice to see porl and his beatiful gipson es-345 on action

  • The best version ever. Now, Porl's guitar sounds much better then keybord (for me). Great lineup!

  • beautiful song!

  • I've just discovered "17 seconds" This song is so great I can hardly stand it

  • on august the 13th he married mary, has anyone else noticed what's in his hair? :-D I think that's mary's ribbon *sweet*

  • THE BEST LINEUP EVER!!!!!

  • beautiful!

  • My favorite lineup.

  • I've always thought that human genius is divided between Giants and Monsters... but Robert Smith, for God's sake: he is a god!

  • Beautiful and meaningful song. I just love the atmosphere created in this song. I like this version. Nice to see Porl creating those effects on the guitar and each one playing the required parts on their instruments.

You should also check out 'At Night' live version in France, 1981. It is there on You Tube. That's fantastic. Just three members- Simon plays the keyboard and bass, Robert on guitar and vocals and Lol on drums.

  • this is one of the songs that got into the cure... just wonderful
