@takumifujiwara124 do you not watch top gear. the ZR1s lap time is impressive. the GTR was only a few seconds faster but thats with the same driver on the track alone with no pressure. put two different drivers racing at the same time it would boil down to who's the better driver. And it also depends on the track. A track with nothing but s turns then yeah the GTR would win but that would be biased on the side of the GTR. A well balanced track the ZR1 would win.

Your talking about the exhaust pulse and the scavenging effects of the exhaust

not the way the turbo makes the exhaust sound, power wise the best option is to run no exhaust but that would just be too loud ;) plus turbo charged engines don't have boost on idle, the wastegate is open so most of the gases are going down the exhaust anyway ;)

the turbo is a restriction of sorts and generally can make the exhaust quieter, the skyline generally though have the cat removed and this is a far bigger restriction, mine certainly isn't quiet by any means :D the length and daimeter and what it's made of, stainless or mild steel, titanium etc all make a differance to the sound

I do think about a valve sometimes to quieten it down but it's a skyline and I love it so .....:D

the reason a turbo is quieter then an NA is because of a combination of two factors... have u ever noticed that a NA sounds more "boxer" then a turbo, this is because back pressure alters between "bangs"... due to constructive and destructive sound waves u hear the exhaust note in sections... in a turbo, the exhaust is speed up evenly and "sliced" by....

turbos dont restrict exhaust gases you pleb. Turbo's spool up the air that goes into your inlets be it via your fmic or usual plan jane normal way. gtr will beat gtst unfortunately, but the gtst in my humble opinion is a better car for the money. plus theres more of em - better for getting parts from the breakers yards ;-)
