Speculation: What we're seeing here is NOT what happened after the crash, but what happened before the crash that will prove to explain why the crash had to happen.

There are still the events on the island involving faux Locke, Sun, Ben, and Richard that we have to address. That hasn't been erased. This is not the reboot.

my take on getting lost

the island was also at a different location due to the event but the plane will still crash just this time it will be over land not ocean the nemesis is 1 of the oceanic 6 , the original kahana search team are from the same time line as this new plane scene creating a loop ,the 6 will have choice to stop or let juliet blow the bomb or do an alternative break which jacob has prepared but only they can choose , got lost yet ? lol

My theory about what happens next: Jack's dad will come back from the restroom alive and well and sit down next to Jack, commenting on the turbulence or something. Yes, Christian is still alive in this timeline. My second favorite theory is that we're being tricked, and that within the next few seconds the plane will go into a dive and crash again. And in this new timeline, Jack is going to die in the crash.

In "Pilot", HE was the one after the first bit of turbulence to look to Rose and say "it's normal". He was calm and collect in "Pilot", however in this one, Rose was the one to tell him that "it was normal", as if pushing him to play his part. I think anyone from the 70s portion remembers.

I don't think he remembers consciously. I think that on some level he's aware that something just isn't quite right. As the scene opens, he looks kind of confused, almost like he's trying to remember a dream or something. I do think that on some subconscious level he remembers, though.

jack's hair is longer because time didn't reset in 2004. it is longer because time diverged in 1977. ever since the losties appeared in 1977, the course of time we know was redirected along a slightly alternate course. in this alternate timeline, some things are slightly different and other things are remarkably different from what we know. one of the things that is slightly different is jack's hair length. there is no paradox here. this is "sliders" style universe hoping, not time travel.

1 scenario: everyone who was touched by Jacob has memory of the events on island. Second scenario: no one has memory, but Jack, who witnesses course correction firsthand when Boone crushes his leg in a car accident, is forced to treat him. He'll also have to save Charlie's life, maybe because of an overdose? But these events will make Jack realize what has happened. Something will spark his memory. Well those are my best guesses. I bet it'll be a lot more confusing than that though.
