  • Russians can even make talking about economy fun!!!

  • God, why is my country so fucking retarded??

  • "Shut up you goddamn Frenchy Cheese-Eating Surrender Monkey"! epic

  • HAAAA, I love it. 21 MPG Green car of the year. Only in America. :-)

  • Put a hybrid badge on anything and it will do. GM should have put one on Hummer it might still be around today if it did have one.

  • If I was a judge I would vote for this over a Prius, and since we hardly have any diesels in America I think this was a worthy winner. V8 bitches! Hahaha

  • Hybrid, county and western Funny. Judging reminds me when the Republicans rule.

  • Everybodys kung fu fucking

  • Fuck's sake so many Americans being overly-sensitive cry babies and/or making everyone from America look like idiots here.

  • LOL DRINKING PETROL AND SUPERCHARGING THEIR CHAIRS

  • No point in replying directly to a comment made months ago, but I do want you to know, toyoracing89, you're one of the reasons the rest of us Americans get a horrid rep abroad for ignorance. Europe is NOT a country for Christ sake..it's a CONTINENT full of many countries. And may as well point it out that people from the UK are not English, but also can be Welsh or Scottish.

Please, for anyone else out there reading who is American, try not to make us look bad overseas.

  • @MooshiDash Are not /all/ English*

  • SHUT UP YA GODDAMN FRENCHIE CHEESE-EATING SURRENDUR-MONKEY!

  • If you convert this to MPG Imperial, it actually gets 25 mpg. 21 is the EPA's (Eccentric Pollution Apes) US mpg rating. Problem is though, is that I don't understand this. I used to have a 5.7 liter Tahoe, and it did 21 mpg US anyway and had the same towing capacity (slightly larger), so where's the improvement?

  • Why do they call a Prius a Pr-eye-us. its Pr-ee-us. the British need to learn how to pronounce their "i" the right way.

  • i want a supercharged hybrid.... O.o paradox.

really, i wonder what the mpg would be on a prius if you super/pro/turbo charge it?

  • @J3FFY28

    18 mpg

  • @hiddenbutdeadly still better than a lamborghini :D

  • @MacGyver920 For a kick off sugar tits. The ford galaxy is not American, so don't fucking dare call me retarded when it comes to cars you cock jerking hypocrite.

  • @McGyver920 congrats on achieving master no life status with a commandation for trolling

  • i think jay leno's most ''green'' car is the Tank Car, it is just 29333cc people 29.3L isnt nice?

  • LOL! I'm an American and that is hilarious. Anyone who is taking this so seriously needs to chill the fuck out.

  • @USGiorgi You are the only American I've seen who hasn't complained about the Top Gear UK presenters along with the rest of Europe's population to be racists because of one thing they've said about an American car. You are odd...

  • @MacGyver920

Maybe because I'm from Europe originally but I am a legal citizen of the USA and love it very much. How can you not laugh at this though? I mean leave it up to GM to take a huge ass car and put an electric motor in it. No wonder they had to be bought by the government.

  • @USGiorgi Sorry, I meant stupid. I said I hate all you Americans who complain about everything you see on Top Gear that ''offends'' you. You are not like those, that's what I Iiked about you, but then you start telling me to just laugh at their jokes...?

  • @MacGyver920

Laugh at their jokes? Well doesn't everyone? If for a second you think that I care, at all, about what your opinion of me is, you're very mistaken.

  • @USGiorgi They call every single European racist and complain and complain and complain! You didn't, that's what I liked about you. Other Americans would've gone absolutely mad if they had seen this!

  • @USGiorgi Every single Top Gear video on the Internet is FULL of Americans complaining!

  • @MacGyver920 really? I usually see mexicans complaining about Top Gear.

  • @USGiorgi I don't care about this green car, but you think I'm not on your side because I called you odd. Other Americans gets fucked up whenever they see Top Gear. Don't you understand ANYTHING!

  • @USGiorgi You're fucking stupid! STOP WATCHING TOP GEAR UK FOR FUCK SAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @USGiorgi You are so fucking stupid! You telll other people (Americans) who takes this so seriously to clam down. That's what I've been telling ohter retarded Americans all the time, but you are the first American to say that yourself, and I thought that was cool. But then you tell me to calm down like everybody else and chill the fuc out! You are blithering IDIOT!

  • @USGiorgi Reply me back you fucking idiot!!!!!!!

  • The funny thing is though. . . . I would automaticly take that Tahoe over a Prius anyday!

  • 21 mpg is joke over there because most of their cars get at least 40.

  • woow now if Europeans are sooo awesome quit selling your cars over in AMERICA, that way you will lose 59% of your market, so hows that for fun??? you need us fuckers!!!

  • 1:06 ...So that's what we supposedly sound like... it's pretty good...

  • -continued- Why does a typical road-race bicycle have 20 or more gears? Same reason. More gears equals more chances for efficiency. Another thing- if they were being serious about picking an american "green" (joke) car, why didn't they pick the Fusion Hybrid? The Fusion is a full size sedan that gets 41MPG versus the Prius (pea shaped wank of a car with a dumb name) that can only manage 45MPG? The original Geo Metro (US) (Suzuki Swift) managed 44! The big three need to buck up, or bounce

  • @ThePatUltra because they are stupid brithish ass holes man, they compare they toy engine european POS versus a big engine Tahoe, they should give it a try versus the Chevrolet Volt!!

  • @abnerhagelsieb If I got a couple of my comedic friends together and made a show like this in America, (a better mirror than TG America) would you watch it if we were funny and informative?

  • 21MPG. Ha. It's all in how you have it geared. The 40th anniversary Corvette with the four-speed automatic had 275 hp (more or less) and got 16 MPG. Order it with the six-speed and it got 30 MPG. The reason they laugh is because it really isn't an improvement, it's just a different setup. The engine itself is no more efficient than the last re-incarnation. The new F-150 gets 21MPG, and it's not hybrid, instead it has a six-speed automatic gearbox. Why does the new M5 have a 7-speed auto?

  • ANYWAY ...american "electric" car ...the volt its an hibryd XD

  • I personally don't like oversized engine, not that much higher performance while wasting insanely amounts of fuel, more added weight/size and so on, more resources wasted. Japanese cars with engines half the size have equal or better performance and better fuel economy. This is the transition era, downsizing, such as turbos/turbo-diesels, hybrids/diesel hybrids is the way to go until we finally make to to electric and hydrogen fuel cells. The new Ford Ecoboost engine looks great too.

  • The Porsche 911 turbo has 500 horsepower and does 25mpg, that is a lot more deserving of green car of the year than that stupid thing.

  • SHUT UP YOU GOD DAMN FRENCHY, CHEESE EATING CERENDERMONKEY, im sorry, is that an 87 year old man in clarkson, and it shouldve been te chevy cobalt SS turbo, 30 mpg and faster than an '85 corvette

  • just put a 9 volt battery in hummer and call that hybrid.......

  • Sometimes america is just too awesome for words.

  • i hate two things about this car one its a hybrid (the idea of something that size being a hybrid is dumb) and its a chevy. also i think its funny the judges are all fans of race cars well almost all.

  • haha i love our barge like suburbans and escallades. maybe sometimes i want to take a cruise on land.

  • @MegaBunky2 lol! he say it as "the best green car avaible in US". in same way the asian and american cars can compete for a "european car of the year" award

  • @kjubus88 Just like the Chevrolet Cruze was the car of the year in India.

  • @MegaBunky2 Um. Priuses (Priuses? Priusi?) are made and manufactured in the US. Seriously, incidentally enough, Toyota is one of the only thriving car companies in America. Actually, Toyota brings more jobs to Americans than all of the Detroit companies combined. And that's sad if a Japanese company is more American than American companies who all whore their stuff out to Bangladesh, Mexico, Canada, and Indonesia.

  • @ThePhantomPrim Toyota is a Japanese Manufacturer that sells their cars in America as wells as Japan and by Toyota being a japanese manufacturer makes the Prius Japanese.

  • @ThePhantomPrim AND FORD

  • @ThePhantomPrim FORD AND TOYOTA

  • @ThePhantomPrim I think you should check your facts.

I don't have 'updated' numbers but as of 2008 GM alone employed more that 145,000 US workers while Toyota employed around 46,000 US workers.

  • @MegaBunky2 i'm not americain, but i think that car is probs greener than a prius if you take into account the manufacturing, if you had a 70's pickup you could drive it for another 30 years and would still be greener than a pruis even though the pruis does 45 mpg

  • I'm sorry. But 21 MPG isn't bad for a big 6.0 V8. Considering my mam and dads Ford Galaxy MKI (2000) 2.3 Zetec does 18.7 MPG. So why where the crowd booing when he said it done 21?

  • @VOLVORULEZ1995 for an engine this big - that's true. but a prius can do abot 45 mpg. and a VW Lupo diesel can get up to 78mpg (US or 94 imperial MPG)! i know, these are diffrent cars, but usually when they talk about green cars, they talk about the little boxes with 3-4 cylinders:P

  • @kjubus88 yeah non us cars do murder our cars in fuel efficiency

  • @kjubus88 try the GMC volt....

  • @kjubus88 That and you're talking about a vehicle with a gross weight of nearly 6400 pounds, and can still tow 6000 or more pounds. So honestly that is astounding. BUT, not that astounding. I had a 2002 Ford F150 with a 4.6L V8 with a procharger supercharger and if I stayed out of the loud pedal I would get 24MPG's daily. I have a Ranger now and get 26-30MPG with a 3L v6

  • @toyoracing89 yes, for a car this big, it's a pretty decent result. but: why the hell do you need a car this big? and this heavy? how often do you tow 3 tons on back? and besides - i don't know about US, but in EU you have to have a licence for trucks to drive a car over 3,5 tons (itself+cargo)

  • @kjubus88 The point that everyone misses about the SUV is it was designed and put on the market as a solution for those who have large families and didn't want to stuff 5 people into a cramped sedan or wagon. But also still needed something that could haul a boat, camper, flat bed trailer, or whatever, especially if you ever moved. Though in your eyes they were useless in Europe, they're pretty usefull here. Two different cultures, two different vehicle concepts.

  • And Europe is...quite, a small country, so their vehicles have to be different. Here, a half-ton pickup can tow anywhere north of 13,000 pounds...and a 1-ton pickup can tow upwards of 20,000 pounds or more and you don't have to be certified. But that's because our roads are designed a lot differently, they were designed with big traffic in mind. And since we have the space, we CAN do that. Even myself would see a fully loaded Ford F-350 with a gooseneck trailer out of place over there.

  • Sorry, I meant Great Britain. My bad for the error.

  • @kjubus88 Actually you'd be pretty lucky to get 45 mpg with a prius. And the prius is a bad car, the vw has better mpg and is a better car.

  • @tnrris i know. my 17 years old peugeot diesel (which can run on rape/colza [don't know the exact translation] oil - VERY "green" [and much cheaper]) easly does 39 american mpg/47 imperial. prius is pointless.

  • @tnrris MIT did a study a few years ago with a Prius. They compared a normal hybrid Prius with one that they removed the hybrid system (so it just was powered by it gasoline egine alone). Not all that suprisingly the non-hybrid version got better adverage MPGs then the regular hybrid version. Why? The extra weight of the hybrid system kills some of the gas mileage.

  • @VOLVORULEZ1995 You Americans only drive and like American cars. You are retarded as hell when it comes to cars.

  • "6.0 L V8 Chevy Tahoe" laughed my arse off! hahahahahahhaahahahahahah

  • :))

  • it's idiotic

  • 1:13 "And they were there drinking petrol and supercharging their chairs." I can see that XD

  • its like country AND western........brilliant line :-D

  • what season and episode was this? so funny :D

  • Now that's just ridiculous!

  • Haha us Americans are so ridiculous sometimes XD I'm glad we probably got new judges and later chose the Volkswagen Jetta TDI

  • @SkiPro1368 i cant help but laugh cause its true. lol =D

  • @SkiPro1368 Well one thing's for sure! Id love to drive that Chevy!!!

  • if thats a green car i imagine what is a gas guzzler

  • @arielatom03 Probably a 1000hp 572ci with a cam so big that it struggles to idle.

Seriously though, I think they chose that can because it gets good gas mileage 'for what it is'. 21 USMPG is probably about what, 25 UKMPG? That's not bad for a truck that big.
