  • It was a great show. I wonder why they ever cancelled it.

  • what happens when they drop

  • @MrSilentBob2231 They fall into a room below the stage.

  • Five drop zones, 1/6 chance of winning $100,000, her actually getting it. She wins like a BOSS!!!!

  • i would not be on this show cause where do they drop u i n your car

  • When I first saw this, this is what I thought real Russian Roulette was. I was completely unaware of the gun version. So, when I told people it looked fun, of course they looked at me like I was crazy.

  • ┌∩┐(●_●)┌∩┐

  • Erm... what hapens when the hole opens?

  • @4U2Pmiki the people will drop

  • @4U2Pmiki it just drops them in a hole with a door at the bottom

  • If anyone even has the bawls to go for the 100K with 5 drops zones deserves that money. Congrats to her.

  • To know, with five drop zones, the floor had to look EXACTLY as it is before the pull.

That is only a 14% chance of surviving.

  • @carchavtube 1/6 is 16% not 14%

  • @LtSeth242

    You are right. My apologies.

    It IS 16%.

  • they need 2 bring this show back

  • You may thought you was crazy but hey it paid off to the tune of $100,000

Way to go! The courage to do that with 5 drop zones and giving up $10,000 I don't think I would take that risk!

  • @cartoongameshowfan76 Me neither, but sometimes, you just have that feeling. And boy, did she ever!

  • This is the final $100,000 victory in the history of the US version of "Russian Roulette", as well as the lone $100,000 victory recorded by a female contestant, AND the lone $100,000 victory recorded in season two.

The other two victories were notched by Al Winchell (3 drop zones and $102,150) and Todd Truly (4 drop zones and $102,200.) Both of those wins came in season one.

  • She is the only contestant to survive with 5 drop zones! Especially on the $100,000 gamble!

  • @kyo2590

I first saw this, and went crazy when she won. It took me a good 15 minutes to relax.

  • Thanks so much for posting this. Awesome show! Too bad it only lasted 2 seasons.

  • what happens if you fall?????????????

  • what happens of u fall?

  • you fall about four feet, and land in the room below

  • Wow, she beat the odds! Well, she had a disadvantage with the number of questions she had to answer correctly compared to her male, season one parts. Also, everyone should admire her courage for giving up that 10 grand for a 1 out of 6 chance for 100 grand or that dreaded possibility of having some quite nasty physical effects.

  • She is a LUCKYWOMAN

  • Before this happened, Russian Roulette suffered a 60-episode drought of $100,000 winners.

  • ahahahahahah in Russia has that show too

  • lol

  • Russian Roulette $100,000 Winners:

    Al Winchell:3 drop zones:$102,150(Season 1)

    Todd Truly:4 drop zones:$102,200(Season 1)

Maria Lay:5 drop zones:$102,000(Season 2)(the only winner to survive with 5 drop zones)(UNBELIEVABLE!!!)

All of them occured on Mark L. Walberg's Russian Roulette!

  • Maria Lay is safe and she won $100,000!!! The audience stood up at 3:50.

  • "Pinman1000": Why stop there?

    - Maria was the only Season 2 $100,000 winner.

    - Maria was the only person to survive 5 drop zones during the bonus round.

    - Maria was the only person to win $100,000 with 5 drop zones.

    - Maria was the only female $100,000 winner.

  • You and your amazing listening skills.

  • Well in the bonus round to survive 5 zones, other people have surived.

  • That was the best game show win I ever saw at 3:47!

  • look at Mark's face at 3:50

  • I'm not saying its planned, but here are somethings that are different than other bonus rounds.

The white line is not around the stage isn't on (it IS usually on the bonus round)

The zones didn't spin as much as they NORMALLY do

  • Well-deserved win.

  • So this video is Maria's win. Al's win is on YouTube here in two videos... does anybody have Todd's win?

  • @ngarcia103 I got it, but I don't have the full episode and I truly wish I did. But still, I"m going to post Todd's win, probably later this month or later this week

  • @ngarcia103 Actually, speaking of me posting Todd's moment, I just posted it

  • Thanks. I'll watch it maybe later today.

  • Can you post the full episode?

  • I've seen a couple poeple survive 5 zones:

    Rhonica

    James

    Amy

  • Sean

    Kenny

    Tiffany

  • Yeah I've seen Kenny and Tiffany but not Sean.

  • His episode's on youtube thewhammy83 owns it.

  • I was like saying "She' s never gonna make it" That was a shocker!

  • OMGZ!

    ( //_ ! )

  • AT LEAST 2 other contestants may have won the 100G with 5 drop zones if they choose to go

  • get rich, or die tryin'

  • That Maria is hot!!!

  • seriously?

  • What did she do with the $102K?

  • That was pure luck.

  • The game is about luck. The rule is "You control the spin by as long as you hold the handle." She could of hold it a second longer and she could of dropped.

  • Holy Jesus!!

  • I actually think that she was the only contestant to survive 5 drop zones. I haven't seen all the episodes so I don't know.

  • Actually. She is the only one to survive in the bonus round w/ 5 Drop Zones. People has survived on 5 Drop Zones before, but not in the bonus round except for her.

  • Oh okay. I didn't see anyone before the bonus round survive five drops zones.

  • lucky bitch

  • The riskiest and luckiest game show contestant EVER!

  • i would say it was the clicker the light pattern boarder was not on.

  • the border light pattern isnt on during the bonus round when they spin for 100,000.. that's just during the previous part of the game I think

  • thats the gays roulette i ever seen

  • ebonics black english,racist

  • 1st and 2nd season differences:

The second season audience is red, not green.

The stage playing Russian Roulette is purple instead of blue.

Season 2 Ending Stage is black and not blue.

    10 Questions at the end.

  • coOL!

  • sweeeet! that was crazy~!

  • They're cancelling Russian Roulette AGAIN! For Catch 21 and Pyramid!!!!!!!!! That sucks!!!

  • I know, huh? So gay!

  • Russian Roulette was canceled in 2003...

  • followed by moment of truth 5 years later

  • HOLY SHIT!!!

  • This was an excellent show back in the day of the Game Show Network. It had it all, a nice format, entertainment(people dropping through holes), potential big money. Mark Walberg was great as host and deserves a long-running game show.

  • That contestant can appear on the moment of truth after the winnings of $102,000.

  • When?

  • Come again?

  • Mark Walberg and Kennedy were in the audience when Todd Newton hosted "Russian Roulette" on April Fools Day.

  • crap rules

  • 2004-2008 was On The Cover to The Moment of Truth while 2003-2008 is Russian Roulette to The Moment of Truth.

  • LOL!!!! FREEDOM!!!!

  • How is random "fixed"?

  • yes but the blue light sound had stoped moving

  • Yea.....you noticed, it clicked, but the light didn't move. So, something was up!

  • lol!

  • This was discussed at length on GSN's web board after this episode aired... they had to reshoot the ending. She had already won the $100,000, so they couldn't change the outcome, but something failed productionwise, so they had to reshoot.

That's why they always put in the credits at the end of the show, portions of this show have been edited or recreated.

  • no because it was a bad recoreding

  • if you notice on this video, the audio is slightly out of sync with the video.

I saw this same episode recently on GSN and it didnt look rigged.

  • about 3:17 proves it, when she puts her hands up and clasps them together.. the noise when she clasps them together is not in sync with the video

  • That looked rigged to me.

  • yea it did considering how random and quick it stopped...ironic

  • She's the most risk-taking woman on the show and gets $100,000. So, She beats the rest of them with more riskier chances of dropping.

  • holy shit

  • fhxfbhsfgsd!!

  • they probobly go down a long tube and land in a big tub of dog shit

  • no i looked on wiki, its a padded room, it was a six foot drop in season 1 and 3 foot in 2 so they had to crouch

  • Here is my Mark Walberg timeline by the school I was at:

-My 3rd and 4th years in Middle School was Russian Roulette

-My 2nd year in High School was On The Cover

-My 1st year in College is The Moment of Truth

  • YEA YEA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • On April 1, 2004, Graham Elwood hosted "Whammy," Kennedy hosted "WinTuition," Todd Newton announced "Lingo" and hosted "Russian Roulette," Marc Summers hosted "Cram," and Mark Walberg hosted "Friend or Foe."

  • i dont see cram on anymore

  • FALSE

  • You probably were not paying attention to the years in ordinal numbers, the schools I went to and the shows Mark Walberg hosted.

  • But wait Its true. My Bad.

  • I've had to wait a minimum of 4 years but a maximum of 5 years to watch Mark Walberg again.

  • When you first replyed false, what did you think I had that was wrong? The schools I went to, the shows Mark Walberg hosted or the years I spent at that school.

  • What did you really think I had that was wrong? The schools I went to, the shows Mark Walberg hosted or the years I spent at the school I went to.

  • I had to wait a minimum of 4 years, but a maximum of 5 years to watch Mark Walberg again.

  • Actually On The Cover took me back to the end of my 1st going in to my 2nd year when I was in High School.

  • Dispite The fact There was a game show host episode of "lingo".

  • That was in Season 2 to where Todd Newton took over as announcer that day. The team that won was M-A-R-K and M-A-R-C because they shut out the Graham & Kennedy who were already finished hosting their April Fools Day Game Shows.

  • Can you guess what show Mark Walberg hosted on Ion that ran during my second year in High School?

  • It Was Supermarket Sweep, And He Announced

  • No...it was the original version of Shop 'til You Drop!

  • wow, what a innovative show,

playing life size russian roulette that u can fall in to

what do u fall into, anyways ? tub of dirty water ?

btw, yeah, she's smart and rich, and cute

  • Lol! They probably fell onto a big mat.

  • yes they did, and they had to sign a waiver clearing the show of reponsibility for injury they suffered when falling.

  • The drop was only 4' as well!! I gotta admit though, it was a great show. Of course, the version I first watched (the UK one) was the only one that was rubbish!

  • is the host the same guy who hosts the moment of truth?

  • Yeah.

  • you aren't crazy maria, you're smart and rich!!!!!!

  • you aren't crazy maria, you're smart and rich!!!!!!

  • wow - she is gorgeous...especially her exuberant smile when she wins

  • Wow. Nicely played.

  • I've Been Waiting Since 2004 To See RR. And It's Back On GSN THIS APRIL BABY!!!

  • dont ppl die on this game show

  • no lol

  • Yea but I always wonder where the people go hen they fall, like to they fall hard onto something or do they like slide down or... I don't know

  • i think they fall in some cushions. XD

  • yes the people actually do die sealove! They are dropped in a 300 foot deep pit an left to die if not instantly killed by the impact. Hope that answers your question

  • ha ha

I was on the show and it's a 5 foot drop in this big bean bag

  • how did you lose? -- sorry..curious.

  • I used to watch this on Game Show Network all the time back in 2002-2003..damn I miss this show..

  • Agreed

  • The person who hosts "The Moment of Truth" which is Mark Walberg, I have waited 5 years to watch him again.

  • I know. He's pretty good. Its ashame b/c the moment of truth is a retarted show

  • Actually I've had to wait a minimum of 4 years, but a maximum of 5 years to watch him agaim.

  • I have waited a full 5 years to watch Mark Walberg host a new show on FOX called "The Moment of Truth."

  • damn i wanted her to fall

  • I remember on April Fool's Day, Todd Newton took over twice. He announced Lingo (Season 2) and hosted Russian Roulette. (Season 1) The team of M-A-R-C and M-A-R-K shut out the Graham and Kennedy team. Graham Elwood hosted "Whammy" (Season 2) on April Fool's Day.

  • And then Graham and Kennedy lost 500 to "Doughnut" (zeeee-ro!)

  • This was the episode of the Feast of Favorites marathon in November 2003. 5 years later, you will watch Mark Walberg hosting a new show on FOX called "The Moment of Truth."

  • And the Feast of Favorites 2002 must've aired Al's win from 2002.

  • It was 6 years ago from Season 1 when Al won the $100,000 and it was 5 years ago from Season 2 when Maria won the $100,000.

  • Whoops, that's Todd's win. Sorry.

  • "Until we meet again, watch your step!" I remember that quote. So memorable and so true (well, according to this show, anyway).

  • She spoken true words and won.

  • sHE IS SO LUCKY: Russian Roulette should be back on! Wish there were new episodes

  • yea i miss it!

  • @jkrb05

As a massive game show fan, I loved this one. It's kinda like karma will get you. I always made a gunshot sound effect when someone fell.

  • I MISS THIS SHOW!! it would be so fun to drop i think....wonder how far it was to drop?

  • about 3-6 feet

  • i wish this show was still on the air. this was probably gsn's best show.

  • this game show is funny as hell

  • WOW! I just saw this, and frankly, I thought she was going to drop. 1 in 6 is risky, and had she not passed, she could have had two safe zones, but in the end, all she needed was one.

    Absolutely incredible!

  • Who Cares?! SHE WON!!!

  • it's also interesting the second voice from the audience said "keep it!"

  • still the best $100k win on RR ever. even more priceless is the look on mark walberg's face after she finds the one safe zone. dayum!

  • And she's one of only three to score the big bucks.

  • *nods* and, like someone else pointed out, the only one to do it by surviving five drop zones. (that said, a $10k winner in the first season could've survived five drop zones had he not decided to take the money.)

  • and it was the first episode shown on GSN i felt bad for Gus

  • You're going to watch that episode again on March 31, 2008.

  • and April Fools On April 1
