  • very good! long live LOTRO!

  • So wicked XD

  • i think dwarfs and hobbits fits best with bagpipes :) this is very nice=D

  • as much as I love this game, and the music system, and the idea behind it...this sounds absolutely horrible. Not the performers' fault, not the arranger's fault.....it's the craptastic sounds we have to work with. Let's do the list.

Theoboro: can't hear it, and sounds nothing like it does in battle.

Flute/clarinet: completely out of tune with themselves, let alone each other

Horn: sounds nothing like any sort of horn...it sounds like a saxophone.

    Drum: what's a complex rhythm?

  • Theorbo can't be heard on small speakers but can be heard alright with something that can play bass.

Otherewise, I agree you need to temper your expectations if you want to get into it. :)

  • lovely music!!!!

  • Good music, but these synthed bagpipes sound way off.

  • This by far is the best one I've seen.

What do they do? It almost sounds as if theyre holding notes...I can't get it to sound right when I play =(

  • Love all your songs! Really awesome. What server do you play on? Would love to hear you guys live or something of the like :D

    Thanks!

  • Great job sounds awesome..keep it up!!!!!

  • Hmm you all seem to love great instruments but I would suggest listenning to the real music played by those instruments, or having it play over the animations, because this music is really terrible.

  • Well, the musical parts are being played in-game with what we've been given by the music system. Overlaying the music track would be considered 'cheating' since the challenge (and fun) is to get the closest approximation to the real thing!

  • Yes, The Lotro music system is very limited, regarding instruments, and what you can do with the tones, and there is no reverb etc. So what you have managed to do with this song ingame is really fantastic. And I don't think it's sound terrible at all.

I like Lorenna McKennitt's music very much. And I guess you have manage to get as close you can get to her arrangements, ingame in Lotro. Good job!

  • Do you guys still play and on what server? lol i want to see you guys live!

  • we were on Landroval, but we hung up the lutes, flutes, and drums a while ago. It was great while it lasted! There's still quite a music community on that server, however - last I heard.

  • not bad :D

  • Wow I really want to learn the bagpipes, I havent seen anyone with them on my server yet.

  • Not sure you can teach bagpipes currently, so it's a minstrel only skill. At least we have the infamous cowbell...

  • wow, this is great!

    I'm amazed!

  • Thanks Ocie1 I feel like a Rockstar! I feel honored and so does Dorothee!
