Anyway we would all love to see a deer drop in its tracks every time we hit but it doesn't happen. I bow and rifle hunt and have never had a deer drop in its track with either. But the shortest distance ran has been with a bow. Crazy part is I had a deer run 300 yds with his heart laying on the ground where I shot him with a rifle.

@NorthernFirehawk Actually chances are if he would have gotten in position to shoot this deer again it likely would have ran. May have never found it. Which is worse. Anyway we would all love to see a deer drop in its tracks every time we hit but it doesn't happen. I bow and rifle hunt and have never had a deer drop in its track with either. But the shortest distance ran has been with a bow. Crazy part is I had a deer run 300 yds with his heart laying on the ground where I shot him with a rifle.

"Hunt" and "hunting" words combined sums almost 1 MILLION results in Youtube's search. Many of the videos show two or more animals killed. MILLIONS more were not showed captured on video. It's so sad and depressing to know too many "people" are doing this everyday and feel proud of themselves showing their "trophy" like they have done something important in their sad lives.
