You can make VoIP (Voice over IP) calls on it if your in an internet zone for free by using some free software...

But you only get a random number, and cant recieve calls, texting it no problem just go to txt2day com and you can make free text messages...

But yes, it is only an MP3 Player, and doesen't have a built in phone :)

If you get a program such as "Fixtunes" you will have it, otherwise no :)

So When you're at let's say in Mcdonald, Starbucks or airports they service free hotspots (wireless internet) so you can surf on the net for free (with iPod touch or laptop) And yea you can download songs from iTunes Store with your iPod Touch. I checked it seems that you can only download music through the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store (but who knows in the future). So right now you have to download videos from iTunes on your computer and then transfer it to the iPod T. and yea Masterj1200 is being "anti-christmasie" :P

uhm i've got mine about a month ago and i have nothing bad to say about it, it's worth it. the screen is the same as on the iphone, so same quality. you get internet in hotels etc. (so called hot spots). you also have a calendar, an alarm clock which comes in handy, also a calculator, safari (web surfer) and a contact list which also comes in handy. it is also great for checking out your photos, because you can zoom in and out on pictures, and also very simply move on to the next one.
