@apanta007 Light-o-Rama is really the leader in this type of equipment and software. Most of the big shows you see are controlled by Light-o-Rama products, including this one. Lights are lights, for the most part. You can get them from on-line retailers or even local stores like Wal-mart, Home Depot, Target, Lowes, etc.

@funnyent There's a cool product out there called "Window Wonder". It's a little more work up-front, but it makes it easier to put the lights back up every following year.

The show/lights are scheduled to turn off before we go to bed, so that's not a big problem. As for hearing the music while watching, we have a short-distance FM transmitter set up so people can tune their radios to the FM station in their car and hear the music. We also play the music on a player near the house (softly so the neighbors aren't bothered by it but still loud enough to hear if you are standing in front of the house).

That's correct. Each set of lights that comes on at one time is on a channel, giving you the flexibility to express yourself with the music. The small trees in the front are a good example. Those five small trees are on five channels, so you can make the lights "move" across those trees by turning them on/off sequentially. It really is a lot of fun.
