Only had 20 minutes to prepare they have to make time with it, plus it helps emphasise their points. Quality not quanitity too.

Yep, particularly in competitions you get given a motion and 15 - 20 minutes to prepare a 5 - 8 minute speech you need to think quick.

Me being a three times in a row debate compitition winner, I think they did a good job. But the first boy would have been alot more believable if his gestures weren't so fake and over-reaching. The second boy, did great.
