oh and i would take care at scrum half purly for his pace and work rate but his distribution has to improve.
i woldnt play cipriani at fly half simpley because his distribution off his left hand isnt great and at international level you have to be both sided. having said that i think he would be great at fullback for england. wheather jhonson would try that or not is another matter. i think things are working with armtage there
i think Matt Bananhan and is a good shout for a wing place aswell. my ideal back line for england would be wings, monye, cueto full back( and this is contraversial), cipriani
this will not be the england backline this year but i think fullack is the place for cips to use his pace and use his kicking skills. the skills of flute can realease some one like armitige at 13 where i think he can do the most damage for england
I think that should defo be our back three, but Johnson doesn't seem to rate Varndell. Maybe Strettle as he's got great footwork and is only marginally slower than Varndell. That backline would have so much pace!
Matt banahan is a incredible player. If the coaches at england RFU can coach him into the more technical aspects of the game he has serious potential.
you clearyl dont know what you;re talking about. sackey has been playing average recently and ugo monye is quicker and stronger, he is on fire, AND he's a lion. England back line; armitage, monye, tait, flutey, cueto, cipriani (if he gets his fuckin act together) and care/foden. that is jiz.
Well, Sackey does make a clown out of himself somteims, but others he's a good defender with good work rate coming into the field. Monye is good, but his place is not guaranteed (yet).
Foden is the only person who doesn't think he's a FB, and for now, Cip needs time out of the lime light.
Would gladly take Care at 9, Tait at 13 and Cueto on one wing, the other spots are up for grabs (for now)
no way to sackey he is a good guy and i played with him at under 21s level.he has good speed but and a decent defence but i think his overall game is behind monye. and also sackey is slow off the mark for a wing and has none exsiten angles of running. my 3/4s would be monye, cueto and armitige. the modern game needs good footballers and sackey is an old style winger to me. he is also really slow to call out defensive cover when there is an ovelap on his wing.
What a fucking power house, I remember watching this guy against Scotland stop that try, he's got a shitload of power and a shitload of pace. A rare combination.
@10wongc1 I guess...but he does drop the ball too much...he has poor hands...you can't expect to be England Elite with his hands, although they have gotten better

the back 3 trio of Cueto, Sackey and Armitage is unbreakable at the moment.
Actually, I'd much rather have Cueto as England captain.
They are nothing fancy, but always do the job, besides they're so good in defence.
Ugo will get the odd caps if Sackey is not available.

sorry buddy but i think monye has cemented his place in the squad, after all he is amazing and better then sackey
maccy809 2 years ago
I strongly suspect Monye was picked for the Lions because Sackey was injured.
Sackey's experience really showed in years when he played for England.
Monye did good stuff for the Lions, but he was not without weakness so we have to wait and give him more exposure
