    For editing I use Pixela Everio Media Browser HD, which is bundled with camcorder (I own sister model JVC GZ-HM335). Of course, I can not add fading transitions, but Pixela does not recode video. Then I demux .mbt file to .264 video and .ac3 audio in freeware SUPER by eRightSoft. I edit audio in Audacity (also freeware), where I add music and adapt the volume of contact sound. Then I mux new audio mix and .264 video file into m2ts container again by SUPER.
