@TheJahlove2 --Definitely Marley--compare this song to the first CD in the Tuff Gong Box Set. It sounds like when they first come, interchanging, varying, and blending their voices. Check it out-- be well
does anyone know why they only took the chorus and not the verses of the dylan original? i assume they weren't able to get a nice, slow groove with dylan's verbose and cynical lyrics. this was a nice little find. thanks bambis17.
i wish people would stop mislabeling this music, its The Wailers, calling it Bob Marley and the Wailers is inaccurate, it wasn't called that till Tosh and Bunny left
Opening singer is Beverly Kelso, then Bunny Bunny Wailer takes over the lead singing with Peter Tosh and Beverly on backing vocals. Kelso was the only female original Wailer. Bob Marley does not feature on this track.
Im gonnna write to all i know, with out no pro, im pro killing shadan, that's my 2 pro, yes i wear 2 since once a upon that's why 2pak, one man knows its him, its YOU, WHY? FATE CAN'T ESCAPE
Definetly Bunny on lead and Peter on back vocal and Bob repeating on chorus, in fact Bunny starts with falseto before and then switch to his real voice after but he is leading aaaaaall de way man.
bob doesn't sing on this track it is junior braithwaite and the wailers bob was in the us for a while he also sings lead on it hurts to be alone it is bunny and junior
In 1966, Marley married Rita Anderson, and moved near his mother's residence in Wilmington, Delaware in the United States for a short time, during which he worked as a DuPont lab assistant and on the assembly line at a Chrysler plant
There is nothing better than the start-up of a group in its early days. The youthful, raw talent and energy is so captivating; the musical experimenting thrilling, and the great leaps forward compelling. Here are such beautiful harmonies laid down in the most relaxed manner, with most artists not aware at the time that they were creating little jewels.
This is bob singing during his early days. I recognise his voice right away just like in other tunes like 'simmer down', judge not and one cup of coffee. I have his early recordings rare stuff i bought in Ingland. The backup vocals are Bunny Livingstone and Peter Tosh..Not sure about the lady tho'...Seen?
im pretty sure bob does background, bob is in this song, if he isnt singing than hes playing an instrument. still this is the wailers and not bob marley and the wailers, if you are talking about that.
It's Beverly on the first two lines of the verse, the rest is Bunny. Bob is not on the recording, he was still in the US

Bunny Wailer sings the lead, first in falsetto, then in his normal singing voice. Bob leads the chorus with tosh in the background.
