  • Strasburg has it, he has control, speed, and perfect aim. The other guy just has speed.

  • Strasburg he can throw almost as hard as chapmen 103 tops but strasburg can control even when he hits triple digits plus chapmen is 100% fastball unlike strasburg with his changeup sinker and slurve

  • nothing happened....

  • Strasburg is hurt, who knows how he will preform when he gets back, and chapman throws a hard ball, but everytime he hits triple digits, he hardly has any control, but when he keeps it double digits, he can actually be a pretty dominate pitcher sometimes..

  • Strasburg wins because he is a starter who has what it takes to become a starter. Chapman, on the other hand has 105 MPH fastball but no control and is a reliever who might 2-3 years to take make that transition to a starter. So, overall Strasburg is the franchise along with Bryce Harper.

  • How can you even compare Strasburg and Chapman? Chapman is good and will get better. However, Strasburg is a MUCH more dominant pitcher. Chapman throws hard and that's it, not that that's bad. Strasburg throws hard, has a wide assortment of pitches, and has great command. He has great control! Once Chapman gets another "out" pitch and gains command, he will be great. Until then, he is just "good." And just remember, a starter is MUCH different than a set-up guy.

  • I think that chapman would win because he holds the most fast pitch at 105.1

  • @214Parker no strasburg does

  • @hwd567 Source? :D

  • chapman el pitcher mas poderoso de las masyores

  • chapman

  • strausberg by far, yes chapman has speed but strausberg has speed plus sick junk

  • Chapman

  • NIce music..... haha....

  • chapmen has the better fastball but strasburg has the better pitches hes mastered them although chapmen is a lefty so he strikes out more batters

  • @MrMaggotforlife13 he strikes out more batters because he throws gas and has a filthy slider. being left handed has nothing to do with it

  • @kjdlbj23 yes he has a wicked fastball but batters also have a hardr time hitting of leftys especialy left handed batters

  • @MrMaggotforlife13 Chapman now has a really good slider. He will be a starter soon. Don't think the Reds spent $30.5 million just to have him pitch the 7th. Give him time.

  • @TheJer1963 well yeah hes great im juswt saying strasburgs great 2

  • strasburg

  • what is the point of this video

  • Chapman, more experience. Being a starter has nothing to do with his skill.

    Bruce

    Votto

    Chapman

    Phillips

    =awesome

  • @jamman55 dont forget queto, alonso, and rolen

  • @jamman55 dont forget queto, alonso, rolen, and cozart

  • chapman will last longer his mechanics are better than strasburg

  • Chapman might be a closer when Cordero retires I bet Chapman has a chance of reaching 108 on his pitch and about 250 saves or more

  • STRASBURG BECAUSE CHAPMAN IS NOT A STARTER

  • 0:14 wtf is he wearing????????

  • @CloverTarkas he is wearing the cuban national team jersey

  • what if strasburg was on the reds

  • Chapman+ 4 seam fastball = 105mph

    Strasburg+ 4 seam fastball = 103mph

    Winner: Chapman

  • Strausburg = better pitcher, Chapman = faster fastball, not by much though

  • Strasburg when he's healthy

  • If strasburg can stay healthy he will be. If chapman can maintain his focuss for 8 inning's he will be. To early to tell.... I like both of them I hope they both make it to the hall of fame.

  • speed isn't everything accuarcy counts 2

  • Comment removed

  • Chapman was perfectly bulit to throw baseballs

  • CHAPMAN the Cubin Missile!

  • it doesn't depend on the pitcher if nats go ahead with reds i think nats would win

  • @the61919 Yeah because the NATS record was even close to the REDS record

  • Chapman!

  • CHAPMAN for Prezzz

  • @phoenixhardy18 all the way to thommy john

  • chapman is still playing

  • Chapman is better for 2 inning's than strasburg, but he gets disinterested after that and loses focus. If chapman can figure out his mental game then he will be one of the best ever.

  • Stephen Strasburg and Aroldis Chapman are incomparable.

    1. Strasburg is a starting Pitcher and Chapman is a relief pitcher.

    2. strasburg doesn't just throw hard, he has control, command, movement, changing speeds and constantly in the mid to Upper 90's.

    3. Chapman throw's a high 90's fastball that will touch 100+mph, Aroldis has good composure on the mound that makes it easy for him to strike out batters with bases loaded situations. He lacks a consistent breaking ball and change up with command

  • @FreshmanPitcher i didnt know that a 93 mph slider is lacking a breaking ball

  • chapman no question

  • yea lets see howlong strasburg can when hes injured

  • Nolan Ryan. Best hard thrower in history. These guys have got nothing on him.

  • Chapman may be a better thrower, but Strasburg is a better pitcher.

  • Strasburg is BETTER

  • @phoenixhardy18 true chapman is great but wont be throwing 105 after more than 40 pitches unlike strasburg still throws about 101 after like 70 pitches so i say strasburg wins

  • @ubaldoc213 the surgery battle

  • it weird that i get so many comments on this video and veiws but it has more unlikes then likes :(

  • @TheTriplePlayTV This video sucks.

  • @TheTriplePlayTV ha you wanna know why!?

  • @TheTriplePlayTV lol well you're title reels in most viewers. but it's a fucking slideshow, why else do you think you get all the dislikes?

  • @TheTriplePlayTV because 1) it sucks 2) it's not a video 3) it sucks

  • @TheTriplePlayTV

    I love your videos!

    Keep up the great work!

  • @TheTriplePlayTV I'm guessing everyone was expecting some sort of video. Or a highlight reel from a game where the two actually faced off. Although I don't think there are any since Strasburg was out for most of 2011 and Chapman's not a starting pitcher.

  • Chapman can last what? Maybe up too two innings? Strasburg all day with his nasty pitches.

  • whats tommy john

  • @Xxsideshow22xX

an operation on the ulnar collateral ligament near your elbow. its called tommy john's because he was the first one to have it done on him.

  • @myherofguitar yeah when my hurt i just went to physical therapy

  • strasburg > chapman

  • Chapman baby..He comes from cuba hard worker individuals

  • Chapman all the way!!

  • this is a easy one chapman would win!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • strasburg seems like an asshole.. i was watching a game and he put down a bunt to move a guy on second to third and first to second the ball went 1 foot infront of him into fair territory and the other players took off.. the other team catcher just picked up the ball and tagged him.. ump of course calls him out.. the entire walk to the dug out was fuck this fuck that fuck me fuck you

  • @39khammond i dont think strasburg didnt take care of his elbow and being in the bullpen is naturally going to lead to a longer career and les stress on your arm

  • @ILuvMusic2143 Wtf thats the speed of their pitch not potential they have

  • @ILuvMusic2143 so whats the point? they are all better than you

  • You cant reall comepare the two, there two different type of pitchers

  • chapman no question

  • Champman fastball was 105! and affter he come to play whit reds in cuba he fastball was 106 !!

  • Chapman 107 mph the new champion

  • @Roberttheinmortal he didn't throw 107

  • Stephen is a good pitcher, but i see lots of elbow & shoulder problems coming. Lots of flaws in his delivery.

  • Chapman in the Reds..

He chose 'em not only because of the salary..

But because of way back in time when a lot of great cubans played in Reds too and were essential parts of it.

    Martin Dihigo

    Tony Perez [WS Champion]

Aroldis Chapman [Probably about to be a WS Champion TOO! GO REDS 2010]

  • Whiteman>Beaner,,,,nuff said.

  • @21Skillet21 Considering that Chapman isn't Mexican. You can shove that Beaner remark up the ass...

  • @21Skillet21 arnt you smart

  • ill tell you why chapman would out edge strasbury, though strasbury looks like a monster, its too bad his elbow went out of wack already . But you know why strasburh is on the DL and Chapman is not, its real easy... just look at my name... all day

  • Champman for three reasons velosity, location, and strausburg is probabley out 4 the season CHAMPMAN

  • winner by technical knock out: aroldis chapman.

  • Comment removed

  • Chapman FTW

  • i was hoping Syracuse vs Louisville Chapman vs Strasburg match-up would come... and now it can be Reds Nationals Strasburg is out for the 2011 season isnt he :P

  • i was hoping Syracuse vs Louisville Chapman vs Strasburg match-up would come... and now it can be Reds Nationals Strasburg is out for the 2011 season isnt he :P

  • aroldis chapman ,is the best

  • Hah I could throw harder than strasburg right now lmao! Chapman has a sick slider and a change up is in working process

  • Strasburg! There's more to pitching than just speed. Strasburg has proven that he can get major league batters out. Chapman has to learn this. Maybe in time Chapman will prove to be better, but, for right now, give me Strasburg.

  • @rcbrammer I don't think Strasburg has proven anything yet. Sure he has been pretty nasty since he has been called up but he hasn't even played half a season yet. He has never been in a big-pressure situation. He has only started 12 games and has gone 5-3. It's too early to compare the two at this moment. Give it a couple years.

  • Aroldis chapman i believe is better. His mechanics are way better. Strasburg's mechanics is why he needs Tommy John. And now not only does he have to rehab, he has to change his mechanics, which will mean he has to get used to pitching different and it could affect his control and maybe velocity. Chapman has good mechanics and seems to be durable. Strasburg just seems to delicate. He was hurt like 2 other times this season too. Not to mention Chapman has pitched in the WBC.

  • @GTAMoviesAndFlix I agree with you here ,Chapman's power comes from his fluid throwing motion rather then pure strength Which is a lot better. Strasbourg is too stiff. he is also 40 pounds heavier then Chapman

  • i would love to see this match up maybe next year

  • man the Jays could of had Aroldis Chapman

as a Jays fan even though i was upset that he dident go come to Toronto, im happy that hes in the Reds

Reds fans you got yourself a damn good pitcher =)

  • @BaachiJoeJB we sure do. hell we aint been in 1st dis late in the season since 1990! cant wait til october :))

  • chapman. although stasburg may come back throwin harder once he recovers. most pitchers do after tommy john. scary thought

  • Comment removed

  • There are power pitchers and there are thinking pitchers. Chapman is both.

  • Im a Reds fan (die hard) & im gonna say chapman. strasburg is already having tommy john. thats rediculous !! chapman needs a 3rd pitch. although i hear he has a 90 MPH change up. not to mention his 105 MPH fastball & the slider that practically curves around the batters legs. Chapman by a mile.

  • AROLDIS!!!!

  • @xpino chapman hits 102-103 consistantly and control hasn't been an issue for the last 2 months. Hints the 0.7 era since the move to the bullpen

  • Strasburg will be the better one. He throws in the upper 90's with control. I have heard that Chapman has control issues. Regardless it is exciting for both pitchers to hit 100 mph

  • Goodlord I don't know lol. 105 seemed like he was just tossing it lol. It was seriously the most amazing thing I've ever seen

  • how fast you guys think he could throw with crop hop? or running start? chapman i am talking about

  • @yamari- this is true, dude looked effortless touching 105!

  • strasburg-good pitcher...will have a decent career after tommy john surgery

chapman- hall of fame potential.....hes the real deal

  • I'll take Chapman because of strasburg's injury, but I think he needs to work on his change up a bit, I've also herd that his slider's one of the best around. He'll be up in september for the final month of the year pitching out of the pen, so we'll get to see how he does there.

  • fuck all you faggots care about is speed put a off speed pitcher out there put everyone off balance. its not always how fast you can throw fuck that

  • @CALMERIN925 both have great offspeed pitches

so you cant really say anything about that

  • CHAPMAN, easy he throws 105 and doesnt get hurt doing it because he doesnt use ALL arm as they say, and wont have to have surgery and wont get hurt 3 games into his rookie season

  • aroldis chapman why because stephens already got hurt and chapman just threw a 105mph pitch worlds fasted

  • strasburg

  • strasburg is good but he has horrible mechanics -.- making him have the sugrey in his elbow because hes using all arm . so yeah i think the other dude will win

  • Well strasburg = Tommy John

Chapman = 105 mph fastball, saw it live and in person last night!! Also touched 104 twice and consistently hit 103 with a nasty 91 mph slider

  • @59Jsparks and chapman has way better mechanics

  • @59Jsparks And yet that still wasnt enough to win.

  • @59Jsparks statistically, Tommy John surgery is great for pitchers so idk why you seem so down on it.

  • Comment removed

  • @59Jsparks aroldis chapmans gonna wear his arm out

  • @59Jsparks doesn't matter if he can't throw strikes

  • anyone know who does this music in the background?

  • Strasburg was great while he was pitching, but it was evident from his mechanics that he'd turn out to be the next Mark Prior or Kerry Wood. Strasburg's out for Tommy John surgery now, don't expect to see him till 2012.

  • strasburg- overated

  • September 1 his MLB debut

  • strasburg

  • Lol that's not even a question. OBVIOUSLY strasburg

  • I think the reds should bring Chapman and let him pitch for 2,3 innings max,so that he gets his feet wet,the kid is ready.

  • strasburg is going to be much better than chapman. chapman is in triple-a right know with an era over 5.50. chapman has a less effective fastball with little or no movement and doesnt have a third effective pitch. Strasburg is the way to go!

  • I vote Chapman, but I am very biased ;)

  • Strausburg is the better pitcher at this point. Chapman's in lville to adapt to the culture but also to work on controle and secondary pitches. His fastball is faster than strasburg's and the fact that he's left handed makes him more valuable than stausburg, but he still has to get his slider and change up developed a bit, Soto will be helping him a lot, and I think that in a couple of years the two will be about even.

  • chapman is more powerfull and lest arogant

  • Chapman is not in the MLB because he has no control! that's why! he throws too hard but has no motherfucking control! tht's why he's not in the MLB! get it U dumbasses?

  • @elFlakation its not the reason DUMBASS its the fact that they want him to get used to the american lifestyle and get situated first.... hes ready

  • @MrRedsfan22 Lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He doesn't have fucking control! I saw him pitch in Cuba! you haven't seen him pitch live so shut the fuck up!

  • @elFlakation your full of shit faggot you havent seen him pitch bitch

  • @MrRedsfan22 What the fuck up.. so many ignorants nowadays

  • Chapman Iss Wayy Better

  • the only reason chapman isnt in the majors yet is because there is no room on the starting rotation i remember hearing that they want to make sure chapman only comes up to pitch as a starter

  • dweah

  • Champman Is Good Im Cuban But (Strausburg Is Woooow )

  • thank you all for 3,000 veiws, i never thought i would get this many, i wish to get 8,ooo :)

  • @Cubyfan92 Even though his start wasnt as good as his first but it was still a great outing. He struck out 8 in 6.2 innings or something. The only problem was the actual mound and the dirt was all crappy and it was making him unbalanced he wasnt able to deliver supreme pitches. This kid has a bigger arsenal than Aroldis. This kid Strasburg will have a more talked about Major League career. Sorry. I want Aroldis to tear it up but I think Strasburg has better shit.

  • @NightmareTeeVee i understand he is a great pitcher and everything but i think hes getting way to much attention. i would like to see Chapman come up and i think he is not getting the chance because he is not from the U.S. it seems like there is times when the MLB hides players form other places, but remember im not talking about all the players because i know there are players from other places.

  • @Cubyfan92 The Reds Paid Chapman millions, so I would imagine they would naturally want a return on their investment so their not "hiding"Chapman. Last time I looked at Chapman's AAA numbers, there not impressive. Chapman is good, but Strausburg is great. That the difference.

  • @flatpat1 for now he's great. everyone is riding this kid. He's going to get figured out. He leaves too many pitches in the strike zone. He needs to learn to set up pitches out of the zone. Eventually players are going to start slamming him. Hes good and can be great. He's going to fan about 8 a game but hes going to also starting getting drilled when batters make contact. Put him against the Yankees or rays or phillies. He'll get rocked like Tyson by Buster Douglas.

  • Umm I dont know if you people are blind but Strasburg just K'd 14 people in his DEBUT! Im also Cuban & from Miami but damn Ill take Strasburg anyday over Aroldis. Even though hes awesome too. Just not at Strasburg level. He can matchup with Strasburg on his fastball but on curves, 2 seams, slider, & changeup...Strasburg fucking burns Aroldis on those other pitches.

  • @NightmareTeeVee este ta loco pa la pinga..get off ganja

  • @elFlakation Oye! Did I say Arolidis was bad? No. I just say he matches up pn the fastball but not the breaking pitches. Que Pinga.

  • @NightmareTeeVee Strasburg no es ni los cojones de Chapman. Y la pinga es la que no tienes tu so bubarron

  • @NightmareTeeVee your fucking going on one start and he did it agians a weak ass team, did you not see the classic last year Chapmin was a beast. Chapmin face better players in the classic than the fuckin pireates

  • Comment removed

  • idk i live in cincy sohard nats are the secind fav team reds first so hard and look at my channel i am going to do these vids to

  • Aroldis Chapman FTW.. que viva Cuba!

  • Chapman ... any time, any where

  • Aroldis Chapman!!! NI PINGAAA FUCK ALL U HATAZ!! he was in the worst team in Cuba and he led them to the quater-finals [100 years without gettin' there] AROLDIS EL MIIO!!!

  • Aroldis Chapman!!! NI PINGAAA FUCK ALL U HATAZ!! he was in the worst team in Cuba and he led them to the quater-finals [100 years without gettin' there] AROLDIS EL MIIO!!!

  • Stasburg is all talk

Chapman was actually on a international team and is the most valuable prospect in baseball. Plus he has more big game experiences

  • Strasburg

  • Based on their minor league performance, definitely Strasburg.

  • Fuck Chapman, Chapman is going to pitch in the best hitters park in Baseball. He's gonna give up a lot of Homeruns. I'll go with Strasburg. This guy reminds me of Nolan Ryan. Also, The Nationals really don't hit in a hitters park so thats plus for this guy

  • @merciless41582 yeah but if i'm not mistaken chapman has played in the WBC. There are some MLB players other good players there. Not to mention the teams. The reds are better offensively. They'll both probably be great players any how.

  • chapman all day

  • strasburg has unorthadox form with the upside down w, chapman will be the better pitcher

  • strasburg can throw 103

  • strasburg

  • Strasburg is great, but you try hitting a ball coming at you at 101 MPH. I'll repeat...ONE HUNDRED AND ONE MPH !!!! They say Chapman's so fast hitters can HEAR the pitch going into the glove! I only hope the Reds mature him more in the minors a little more first before they let him loose on ML hitters.

  • chapman bitches

  • Chapman all the way

  • strasburg
