This has NOTHING on the original! My father was in the Trammps, and their version - the original - is far and away the best. I still remember sitting backstage at their shows. Between songs, the guys, my "uncles," would give me their maracas or tamborines when they were done with them and I'd sit in the wings with my mom and play along with the songs. :-) The lead singer, James Ellis (Uncle Jimmy to me), sang this song like no one else ever will.

Does anyone know was this a regular song in her What's Love:Live Tour? It wasn't on the video. Maybe this was just a specially filmed performance on stage??

Yeah I don't believe she did include this song on the What's Love Live setlist, this was just a rushed together video version making use of her touring band and dancers (Karen and Sharon). It's a shame really because it's a great song and sang very well by Tina on this recording - might be difficult to reproduce live tough! Mind you, she managed it well enough in the late 70s hence it's inclusion on the Soundtrack album anyway!

Tina does a fantastic version of this song. It's not often that a singer comes along and can do a version as good as if not better then the original. This is the first time I heard Tina sing this. All I can say is fantastic!!!! It suits her voice and she performs it amazingly!
