  • Manuel Bucher is sooo cute.

  • i so played one of the guys in the top 8 at pro tour austin and sweep him

  • Cant we give Gerry Thompson his own Magic Show?

  • @1648357 we did!

  • @gnilleps Nice!

  • in magic it's just like poker:

in poker you can't bluff a bad player cuz he doesn't know what you are doing.

this also goes for jedi mind tricks in magic, they only work on good players.

  • @MrFreak0r

i agree somewhat with your statement, a subtle ploy may be overlooked by a inexperienced player, but more overt trickery may catch their eye.

  • edgewalker18, the correct choice for you is not the correct choice for the next guy. also, MTG and school aren't mutually exclusive, look at guys like Conley Woods and Cedric Phillips (and many others) who have had success in both. just b/c you might not succeed is no reason not to try. the chance to travel the world and broaden your horizons while playing the greatest game ever made is a worthy goal, even though statistically it cannot be for everyone.

  • Setting music to the worlds rewards ceremony changes everything; when they do the webcast they should do that

  • Some of these players treat MTG as a religion. As much as I love the game, MTG, as a hobby, should be just that. Not a lifestyle choice.

  • what about people who make money playing the game. people make it a lifestyle because it is a source of income.

  • Not everyone who treats MTG like a second life is successful. Then you realize that all the time/effort you spent at, what is ultimately a hobby, should've been spent in school where you can get a real job. THEN you spend your paychecks buying MTG...that's the way you do things.

  • Come now now, you can say that about anything. No everyone who goes to school can get a job and not everyone is successful with work. That argument isnt sound.

  • *sigh* I guess I can't speak for anyone since being a professional MTG player isn't my field of study...that doesn't change my feelings on the subject though.

  • Except when you make 40,000$ winning a pro tour then it can be =)

  • Great show, and congrats to Mr. Coimbra and the Chinese team!

  • Good show!!!!!

  • awersome choice of music nice show :D

  • The Bucher/Ruel thing was pretty intense. I didn't realize the extent to which people work out the chances of T8ing at PTs...though I suppose, why the hell not.

  • Chapin is making a lot of since lol

  • Chapin is definitely the funniest guy in Magic! Great episode.

  • Geeze, Patrick needs a sandwich.

  • At the end of last episode, Tom Lapille made a comment about multi color generals in an upcoming set....but it wasn't in this episode. Teeaasseee.

Keep up with the great shows though Evan.

  • @jgioeli0 Yay for more multicolor. I'd expect it in the next block.

  • nice choice of music Evan!

  • why is bucher dressed for a blizzard?

  • he thinks better when hes on the verger of passing out cus of immense heat ? i really don't know lol

  • Cause he's a pimp

  • best episode ever. so so so so good

  • Way to tease us with the Tom interview... I want to know when the two color generals appear!

  • the most effective around our kitchen table is simply leaving 2 blue mana untaped lol

  • Aaron is really hard to hear over the sound of the water.

  • bucher playing off the grid deck to top 8 worlds was nice

  • what's the name of the song that starts at 9:15? Awesome video again by the way Mr. Erwin. I met Manuel at GP:L.A. last year, I'm glad he made it to top 8. Congrats dude

  • Wolfmother is the name of the song, not sure who did it

  • no wolfmother did the song - its called colossal

  • nope.

  • The way Bucher suffles it looks like he's about to Kame-Hame his opponent lol. Great show Evan.

  • Gerry Thompson said it perfect. at 10:30. Props to that.

  • Wow, I'm surprised that Mr. Orange has some JMT. My favorite album is Servants In Heaven, Kings In Hell.

  • ye, love JMT and love chapin for bringing that up :P

  • he knows who the strokes is so hes cool in my book

  • That was a great epilogue. I'd pay money to see the Gerry T. whoopin.

  • Moving a LAND FTW!

  • Mindtricks are fine as long as they don't delve into the realm of cheating. I've been a victim of that scenario in a vintage event, but it didn't hit me what happened until I was driving home :(

  • jedi mind trick explanation is golden

  • got to love how at the begining they show a shot of Mark Pool doing an artist mod to a mana drain that he had previously signed once befor, adding the Falcon and some Tie Fighters

  • Manuel Bucher winning and hugging Antoine Ruel was a nice moment to capture.

  • Love the videos. keep up the good work

  • Mr. Orange Guy, another great video and i am honored to watch it.
