  • The line..........." the thing without which we could not exist"..........in my book, THIRTEENTH APOSTLE: THE COMING TRANSUBSTANTIATION...........referring to god as energy, particles, etc..............I said " That, which without, would nothing remain......my book was written in 1990....when did Dan Brown write Angels & Demons....the book is RIFE with such " coincidences".......please contact me for more information...............go to The Real Reason Why People Defend Religion on YOUTUBE

  • got to see film looks so grate

  • Ma Favino è doppiato nella versione inglese?

  • Tom Haks is so cool

  • uncovers information she shouldn't have. Find this film T O T A L L Y F R E E @ Movie Watcher. US

  • Friend told me that you can watch a the m0v!ie online @ MOOV ZON ,COM search the above link on google

  • i love the way she says "A cataclisimac event."

  • I like her accent.

  • "Vatican City will be consumed by light" said Tom Hanks. I hope they are having the annual child molester convention then. Those guys with the funny collar that want you to call them father crack me up! Hope they get it in the end

  • What I think.

FANTASTIC book!! Such an awesome read. Although the film dosen't follow the book much. The film is still AWESOME, film of the year ^^. I recommend it to anyone!

  • the movie is not even close to the text of the book.

  • "extremely combustible substance" - if she claims to have any knowledge of physics or chemistry, punch her in the face.

Then punch her in the face again for implying the god particle actually has anything to do with god.

  • You know god is the energy in everywhere, so this is super energy so this must be a god particle", as she claims.

  • No, energy is the energy in everywhere. Energy obeys the laws of physics, god is omnipotent and physically impossible.

Also, the god particle is the nickname for the higgs boson which also has nothing at all to do with antimatter.

  • @EvansRowan123 your right god is impossible, but God is possible. Because he is a spirit not a man, spirit is energy, an energy field if you will that's how people can find ghosts as well.

  • @Dillster93

Energy is a very well-defined thing in physics. So please explain "energy" and "energy field" in terms of joules and work done. Is it Potential energy? Kinetic energy? And how can something formed from energy (ignoring E=MC2 for now) have any consciousness, mind, or will?

Or is this an ill-defined kind of energy, interchangeable with "magic"

  • @EvansRowan123

    we dont know that yet

  • @Capeau Er... which thing don't we know yet?

  • @EvansRowan123

    What energy is exactly

  • @Capeau I'm pretty sure we do. If we didn't know what it was, it would be a bit difficult to have any idea what the hell a Joule is.

  • @EvansRowan123

its a measurement, not more. Like you can measure water, without knowing what it is.

  • @Capeau But water isn't a measurable thing, it's not a unit, it's not a quantity. What is measurable and quantifiable is volume of water, mass of water, etc.

And if we didn't know what volume meant, to enough of an extent that we can't take seriously the idea of a spiritual volume, or god being an imperceptible volume, we wouldn't be able to measure it either.

  • @EvansRowan123

what is clear is that you you dont know much about physics

  • @EvansRowan123 I wanna see the anti matter version of the higgs particle :D

  • She never implied that thats what the God particle was used for. Listen.

  • It was stellan skarsgards character that assumed it literally meant God.

  • She never implied it had anything to do with God. She said "what we call it doesn't matter". For a simple explanation that was about as good as any I have heard.

  • she did imply it had a lot to do with god. Besides forgetting the correct name for it, the "higgs-boson", and instead going for the silly name used by the press, she's also emphasising "without it we could not exist".

She may as well have said "what we call him doesn't matter", for how much she was emphasising the god-ey-ness.

  • Oh except the exploding part. Ok, it really shouldn't explode as far as I know. Its should however be pretty destructive, shouldn't it?

  • Yeah, it would very much explode. But "combustible" means it's specifically prone to combustion, which the word is derived from.

Combustion is when a material gains oxygen, in a chemically exothermic reaction, which a lay-person would call "burning".

Antimatter, on the other hand, undergoes a nuclear reaction, where an equal mass of regular matter meets the mass of antimatter, and that total mass is converted completely into energy, in a process called annihilation.

    Those are very different.

  • Anti-matter isnt a bomb...

Essentially it's negitive matter that destroys any matter it comes in contact with. It doesnt explode, it disintigrates and take matter with it, then realeses gamma radiation

  • yes but the wave lengths can generate the effects of regular explosive forces...

  • That was lame and retarded, it's like "power rangers for grown-ups". I don't have the slightest desire to download this move even for the fun of it.

  • Your loss. It's a great movie.

  • the thing had a timer on with numbers not colours. This movie (according to the book) is a FAILURE there not close!!

  • The Vatican really is a beautiful place and all of the art there is breath taking. Not to mention the painted ceilings, like the Sistine Chapel.

  • I'd hate it if the Vatican were destroyed for real! All that art lost forever... ;_;

  • @Aves114

not to mention the hidden knwoledge

  • Yes it is true !! all particles within the nucleius has its own anti-matter!!!

  • 5 kilotons of TNT is about 115mg of antimatter (plug "5e12 calories / c^2 / 2" into Google).

From Wikipedia: The fastest way of making antimatter we currently have is the LHC (or it will be, once it's up and running)... using which "it would take two billion years to produce 1 gram of antihydrogen."

    So yeah, it's a lot.
