Randy was a little annoying cause at times it seemed like he knew more about players decks than they did and almost seemed like he was attacking them on why the hell they put a certain card in a certain deck. He just came off a little condescending.

LSV beating his every opponent equally is quite fair. Awarding his last opponents with "free points" is what I consider as unfair.

Tom Ross designed LSV's deck and they are good friends. Tom finished in 9th, so obviously LSV was trying to dreamcrush and get Tom into the top 8. LSV did nothing wrong. Also if he drew to the Swede, somebody else would be out of the top 8, and how would that be fair? The Swede just got an unlucky pairing.

obviously this comments are from someone that was never even close to win something. seriously one day u will want to draw urself into top8 and u will know what im talking about. lsv had nothing to win/lose in the last round. the Swedish guy prolly lost something like a couple of grant, just cuz lsv wanted to shine. i still admire lsv as a player and as a person (i was in his mtgo clan for some years) i just cant agree with this particular attitude, although i understand it...

Obviously wanting someone to ID people into the final is from someone that was never even close to win something. When you have nothing to win/lose in the last round, how can you knock somebody you're NOT playing out of the top 8 just to let in the guy you ARE playing? Why are you gonna be so mean to that guy who woulda gotten the 8th slot if you didn't ID in your opponent? You show a blatant bias towards "people you are sitting across from" against people who are somewhere else in the room.

Also it's foolish to say that LSV had nothing to win. The publicity of setting an all-time pro tour record is worth a lot of free advertising for his website, more than a few thousand dollars worth I'm sure.

having been in that situation for a 5k in versus system, i know what you mean. but i've also had a chance to go undefeated in a game, and i took it, if i get another chance i would do it again. it sucks for the players that don't make it, But i think it's in a players nature to go for perfection every time they have the chance. Congratulations to LSV's undefeated run in swiss, although without winning the PT it's like going undefeated in football without winning the Super Bowl, just doesn't mean

To say LSV lacks fair play is ridiculous. He has no obligation to draw to anyone. If you want in the top 8 then win, simple as that. If you cant do it then you can only blame yourself. Stop expecting people to draw you in and just win YOURSELF in, and if you cant stop crying about it!

i just wish next time lsv is in the same spot as the guys he knocked out of the top8... he is one of the bests everybody knows it... making those guys lose some thousand dolares and a spot at the top8 just because he wanted to be the center of the attentions... maybe next time the same happens to him and he will know the feeling...

LSV landed himself a spot in PT History. No-one has achieved that sort of success before. It's very difficult to blame him for going for it.

I think you'd be hard pressed to find someone who wouldn't take their shot at the same thing. I know I would.

Whether he conceded or played, someone would lose a spot in T8. When everyone plays out the last rounds, it makes sure that those who make it deserve T8 most.

Ya, it sucks to get dreamcrushed by someone who doesn't need the win but he's in no way obligated to give people who can't earn a Top 8 spot a shot just because he's facing them. Beyond that 16-0 has never been done, so why would he voluntarily give that up? If he does that and doesn't win the PT he gets nothing...

im not sayin that he should have conceded...thats unacceptable, but when you come to the last round of the pt just needing the ID and ur opponent doesnt give it to u just for the show (no other reason) its a lack of fair play in my opinion. One day maybe u guys know how its like to lose the last round of a PT or even GP and dont top8 after 2 days playing ur best... i know the feeling... and now imagine that u lost the last round because ur opponent didnt want 2 ID just to b the shinniest star...
