I think this ending is sadder than the other one in red/blue rescue team. Maybe because after you fade away, your partner is all alone. Also maybe because your partner seems a bit more attached to you in this ending and they seem to be more helpless without you. not that the other ending isn't sad.

I'd write some long comment about this piece but I don't think I need to. Oh well, here it is. The saddest part for me about this (aside from you leaving your best friend forever) is that you realize your adventure is over and that no matter how many levels you gain the after game is fairly static. It sorta feels like your relationship is ending.

It just doesn't cut it to shoot things or slice things; embarking on a journey with the dearest of friends is something much more rewarding.

i first played as treecko with a totodile parter in explorers of time and then in explorers of time i was riolu with a vulpix partner. they were male and female respectively and when riolu was disappearing i was joking around like "AWE CRAP!!! i forgot he disappears! dang... there goes my herd of vulpix pups..." a kinky thought to keep the emotions from flowing out of me! i was 16 or 17 at the time and now I'm 19 and i would still have to hold back tears because of this game if i restart!

I've played both Explorers of Darkness and Sky as Totodile, and cried the whole time. Cyndaquil, my partner, was just so upset, and the music......amazing but sad.
