  • kyshenko totaly won the first 3 rounds

  • @parazitu10 negative

  • Good fighters, but they depend to much on their boxing. Not saying there's anythings wrong with that, but Sower won because he focused more on punishing the leg. However, if Andy had stronger leg kicks the fight would not go to decision. Good fighting style, but when a strong puncher meets a strong kicker. The kicker would just kick him in the arms. Old Muay Thai technique.Take out a punchers arms and he has no choice but to engage in a kicking game with you. No Kick No Life!

  • @ThatDirtyDogAgain Uhm, you do know that blocked hits score no points under kickboxing rules, and the Thai style of constant telegraphed midkicks is one of the simplest ways to lose a kickboxing match?

Besides, you can't ruin the arms of most fighters of that calibre. They're too used to blocked with it to be bothered. I mean, Souwer easily defeated Yodsaenklai Fairtex, mostly by simply blocking Yod's predictable midkicks and constantly answering with a lowkick that did score.

  • @Blahb27 If Souwer fought Yod under full Muay Thai rules, he wouldn't stand a chance. Andy was more hurt than Yod in that fight. There is a reason why international fighters won't go and fight Thailand's top fighters under their rules. Thailand's top contenders go fight all over the world and they still dominate even under kickboxing/k1 rules. You can say all you want about how you can't ruin the arms of most fighters. That's bull shit. Go to Thailand and hold some pads then tell me differently.

  • @ThatDirtyDogAgain I guess that explains why all the titles of all relevant organisations are not held by Thai fighters in the traditional muai thai style they use, but by kickboxers following different styles such as the Japanese or Dutch style. Rather surprising considering most of the top Thai contenders have four or five times as much experience as their counterparts.

It's quite simply a different game, much like you don't walk into a taekwondo match and start boxing.

  • Arthur is strong as hell he threw Andy down to the ground at least 3 times. It looked like Andy was flying in the air ! This is a great fight! They both fought great! The decision could have went either way!

  • man...are those guys human?

  • Andy Souwer seems to walk thru everything! hes like a muay thai version of Felix Trinidad

  • Holy shit this was a good fight. Much respect to both fighters!

  • Arthur is the most balanced fighter ever !!!

  • Артур чемпион! Не увидел , что он проиграл бой , хотя противник конечно достойный

  • 2008 final!!!!!!!!!

  • Do they count how many strikes you gave the opponent and how much work you do or their judgement is based on how they feel like the day they judge ? ))))))

  • @odessataity punches score less than kicks

  • Do they count how many strikes you gave the opponent and how much work you do or their judgement is based on how they feel like the day they judge ? ))))))

  • Artur Kyshenko if he loses he stay my best kickboxer

  • Kyshenko has some monster power and speed, but Souwer was able to avoid, deflect or block the most damaging hits. Souwer seemed to have played up his extensive experience and just fought a more technically sound battle.

  • Фигня какая-то хохол молодчик на зубах вытянул 3 раунд а победу соверу отдали!?

  • this fight would of been alot shorter but souwer was not allowed to wear his pants

  • @imchrix ahhahahah :D

  • Артурчик рулез!!!!!

  • Artur is great!!!!!Souwer is the best!!!

  • It was intensive !

  • Esta pelea estubo arreglada, igual que la siguiente contra BUAKAW, todo para que llegara a la final, y para que?...

para que PETROSYAN lo RAJARA en 2?

    Muy malo y muy injusto...(N)

  • petrosyan n1

  • its crazy souwer had such a hard time that tournament... he faced kyshenko, buakaw and petrosyan... if only he had his long johns on :D

  • @DotaHelm

Yeah, those pants that he usually wears must give him powers or something.

  • it's one of best active and exiting fight i've ever seen

  • great fight. not a fan of kyshenko but i like watching his fights, hes so aggressive

  • souwer idol!

  • what a techniques

  • 2 monsters

  • Good fight!

  • Great war! Kyshenko loses cause he has less stamina than souwer(and experience). Wait for the next k-1 and this will change

  • @LopiFromCONVICTED Yeah, that's what I thought too, especially since Souwer's injury. Unless he'd meet Petrosyan in the final 16 Kyshenko 'd stand a chance. But now another Dutchman, Mootje Khamal, quite simply out-punched Kyshenko

Realise: Khamal had only 10-11 A class fights and a muai thai match of similar level before his fight with Kyshenko, including the tournament where he qualified.

Maybe Kyshenko should try to enjoy the same competitions as his rivals and go train in the Netherlands.

  • @Blahb27 i think hes trying at mike's gym now,

  • They´re the image of what is a supreme fighter, the figure of what´s a K-1 fighter! One the best shows of K-1!! 5*

  • artur just got KOed by hinata who isnt even in the top 10. a disgrace for artur. andy would never lose to a lower level fighter. thats why he is better.

  • @redblazerpea

Souwer choked out Hinata 3 days ago in a shootboxing match in 48 seconds of rd.1.

  • Blocked?? All I see is replays of Artur Kyshenko, just because Andy had a big name, Artur lost, it's like, you're too young come back next year then you'll get the belt, haha

  • That was not a draw at the end of 3rd but whatever. Kysh is the future.

  • Great fighters the both of them !

  • i think that kyshenko has fought better than andy. the referees had awarded an unfair extra round.

  • pidaras

  • very good fighting from both gents

  • its great to see the bigger stronger fighter lose. great fight

  • the best k-1 fighter is yodsaenklai

  • @FullBloodedHmoob oh please he isnt the best he lost against souwer in k1

  • @redblazerpea , yea he lost because he fought souwer in european k-1 with some of the most racist judges......have you seen the fight?...because if you have youll see that yodsaenklai won

  • Looks like they needed to have Souwer in the finals so Masato can avenge his losses to him before retirement.

  • артур выглядел лучше!

  • Should never have even been an extra round. Artur won that fight.

  • Artur is still very young fighter and very good fighter. He will be best one day! Gotta respect both! Andy Power Souwer is amazingly agile guy with great skill and great speed. Artur Kyshenko is awesome! He has talent for this! He is fast very strong and skilled guy. He will be best! Soon!

  • my favorite fight ever! I don't know how many times I've watched this fight before practice. You can only hope to perform with the same intensity and heart that these two brought through out this whole fight. Career nights for both men!. Thanks Andy and Artur for showing us how its done.

  • Kyshenko is probably Souwers equal in tactics and skill.

These two are textbook fighters, if want to see how Muay Thai is done right.

  • what Artur lacks is the stamina, damn souwer lol

look at him at the end of the game ,he looks so comfortable and not that tired but poor Artur struggles to breathe

i wonder where a small man like and souwer gets his power from??

    he's just one tough guy

  • @cutezombie88 i think kyshenko tries to kill him with every shot. have u seen rocky 3? same thing.

  • @redblazerpea i prefer kyshenko the most in his weight division because he has his own owning style when he goes berserk on some1,but his stamina is a problem, look other matches of his u will see that, and in any game of this type stamina is very important because if u lack it u will lack the ability to complete the match.

  • @internetTOUGHGUY10 He has great combos, I don't like his body as you said or anything like that... He is just using lots of nice performed combination even if he hits opponents guard.

  • artur winnnn!!!

but this is great fighti should to consider!!!!

  • Sick fight!!

  • 3:00 nice kick

  • Kyshenko has perfect moves and combos. It's like art... regardless if he loses.

  • @traboucos

you just like his body, not his movement or whatever

its not very unique you know

  • @traboucos andy souwer was BAUS

  • bullshit just bullshit japan

    haha just fake

    artur is the winner

  • @ibraschka

    butt hurt fanboy

  • @internetTOUGHGUY1000

u mother is a fanboy of my hard big dick

u japan son of a bitch

  • Yeah kyshenko always starts off strong

  • I thought Artur Kyshenko won the last (extra) round, he seemed more active than Andy.. and I'm an Andy Souwer fan...

  • @Philipe0849 He was more active but almost all of his hits were blocked. Souwer on the other hand was much more accurate, especially with low kicks.

  • @MIchaelYiochalas way accurate with the lowkicks. I don't know what fight everyone else watched but it was all Souwer he landed the cleaner shots...

  • best fight of k1 max to me...

kyshenko's my favorite fighter, but he's young, he needs more training, i think he will be the future of k1.. i hope so to :D

  • I really like Andy Souwer as a fighter. He was using a lot of Muay Thai fighting technique's there at the end of the fight. He's very experienced, lots of skill too. He's a technical fighter, that's why I respect him. His fights are all tactics.

  • i love artur's style when he attacks!

  • I can't get enough of this one, the Judges should of went for a fifth round! Just so we could keep watching!:)

  • watch?v=8WKWqoxOHVk&feature=re lated

    watch my fight :-)

    Thank´s :-)

  • that was a very good fight

  • Rd 3 is intense!

  • That was an awesome fight!

  • Nice Fight

    Andy heeft terecht gewonnen.

  • nice fight

  • pff to be a judge on this fight really must suck ...

  • Kyshenko=Whouahou!

  • souwer hat die beste deckung die ich je gesehen habe im k1

  • Nice fight...Kyshenko superskilled :)

  • wouldn't like to be the judge on this one

  • Battle of equals. But in the last seconds of Artur looked better!

  • naaahhh... Just because Kyshenko's out of air, it doesn't mean he will lose. Man, Kyshenko's a BOMB!

  • artur kyshenko champion

  • ma quante se ne sono date ?!!!!

  • fucking bull shit.. artur won that fight

  • no he is a pitbull

  • andy is ugly noob!

  • Excellent fight.

  • do they get any money reaching final 8?

  • yes they get money every fight

  • WOW MAN!!! What a fight!!!

... damn man, a shame Souwer didn't wear his trademark longjohns. He would've won with them fo sho!

  • Look @ 3rd round , Kyshenko gave everything he had to the end ! No extra round needed , Kyshenko was bleeding , Artur you're my favorite fighter ! Good luck in future ! You're the 1 , changing K-1

  • andy had moeten winnen

  • souwer lost because he did not have his lucky longjohns on

  • Wow, this was an AMAZING fight!!!

  • waoo great fight man big hearts..

  • Artur Kyshenko is the future of K-1.

  • what a f*ken battle.

  • No it's the weed what we smoke every day by are breakfust!

  • The Dutch fighters are very strong.

    Is it the fish?

    Is it the cheese?

  • I think it's the no nonsense attitude.

  • no, the beautiful women :-)

  • @ailee2 Its the weed :)))))

  • Kyshenko not as conditioned as Souwer.

Ended up running out of steam.

Andy Souwer out classed him. A lesser man would've lost against Kyshenko.

  • I was very impressed with kyshenko in the first round, his movement, power and angles were beautiful to watch

  • He has great co-ordination and awareness of distance. He fires off a shot with every limb!

    It's like he is quad-dexterous!

Andy's defense was just so good though. Blocked it all and made Kyshenko lose steam for no damage. That was what won the battle in the end.

Patience, a good defense and pacing himself is what won Andy the match.

    Phenomenal match.

  • buakaw really gonna have a tough time fighting souwer after this...

  • awesome fight!! close but andy did come out better i the end. Arthur will win the tittle in hte coming years, his got the heart of a champion.

  • Kyshenko should be in Yuya's place man, that would be great! There will be two finals for me Souwer/Buakaw and winner with Petrosyan.

    This was really great fight!

  • Great fight. Kyshenko got tired quickly.

  • Comment removed

  • Very Close fight..... I think they gave it to Andy because he was constantly forward... controlled the ring..

  • next time Artur fuck his ass up!!!

  • ARTUR won the 1and the second round no doubt..why the extra round??

  • do you wear glasses? :D

  • K1 always has it favorites....

  • once again, I think that the judges forced the extra fourth round, IMO, Kyshenko should have been the decisive winner out of the first three rounds. Souwer dominated the Final round, i must say. Epic fight nonetheless...

  • once again, you are just another one of the redneck morons, this was suck a fair fought, you still could blamed on the judges,IMO

  • How old are you? 14?

    "Redneck moron"?

"this was suck a fair fought"?

"you still could blamed on the judges"?

Let's play a game, its called 'making sense'

    So far, you are losing.

Youtube has some of the dumbest people commenting like this WAWAWAWA idiot..

  • fourth round was called correctly in my opinion, i disagree with your comment on the 1st 3 rounds. see saltforyourwounds88's comments below - he's about right in my opinion

  • Crazy back and forth fight.

    My scores:

1st - Souwer (landed more, esp leg kicks)

2nd - Kyshenko (aggressor, landed cleaner power shots)

    3rd - Draw (imo)

4th - Souwer (leg kicked Kyshenko to death)

  • Awsome fight, Artur was definately better early but i reckon Andy did enough in the third to earn the exstension round.

  • That's what I call stamina! : - O

    4 rounds of continous action

  • I think this year's final will be Souwer/Petrosyan with Souwer as the winner. Then I might be wrong, in which case I'd love to see Buakaw winning the belt again.

  • what you mean maurizio?? it's gonna be a Souwer vs Buakaw final, this was already decided before August of this year

  • Not exactly. The first semi final will be Yuya Yamamoto vs Giorgio Petrosyan and the second semi final will be Andy Souwer vs Buakaw por Pramuk. Then the final will be one of those combinations: either Yamamoto/Souwer, Yamamoto/Buakaw (unlikely) or Petrosyan/Souwer, Petrosyan/Buakaw. Check it out on the K1 website!

  • i stand corrected my friend. Petrosyan should get through - although the Souwer vs Buakaw fight will be a tough one to call

  • Yeah GO Andy, what a great fight! Really glad that Andy won, I'm from Holland :p Kyshenko did great too though

  • kyshenko win

  • The best K1 fight of 2009! FUCK YEAH!

  • Comment removed

  • yes, one of...

  • Great fight....both of them were excellent...

  • @SiRoGoD The other guy is a great talent but andy had won the match after the rounds in my opinion. Andy's punches and kicks almost hit every time. The other guy was hitting air most of the time. Looking at points i really dont understand why they went to a draw round. I think the judges liked the energy of both men equally which i agree with. But not the points. No way.

  • @CCDevlin true ...

  • Awesome fight, 2 great fighters, no bs just non-stop fighting. GREAT stuff.

  • In the 4th round Kyshenko was better than Souwer. Kyshenko won that round. He had more punches ad they were all to the point. Especillay spinning back fist, which Arthur thrown at the middle of the round. Looked very good.

  • Blahb27,

How can you explain the fact that Andy made cut to Arthur's eyebrow with his head , and then no punishment followed from the judges?

While because of that cut Kyshenko could not aim properly.

Though I respect Souwer as a fighter, he is very dirty sometimes. Just watch his fight with Leroy Kaestner, where he hits Leroy with his knees when Kaestner is on the floor. No bias, only fact. Kaesner is also Dutch and he trains withPeter Aerts.

  • Great fight!! Pleasure to watch! Respect!

  • Wow! Fantastic fight! Kyshenko was clearly tiring towards the end, but great effort. I'm glad andy's wearing the thai shorts, the trousers always annoyed me!

  • This is one of the greatest fights iv seen in my life..i feel privileged to be watching this ..none-stop action from the beginning to end K1 MAX IS THE TRUTH!..i just wish more people would watch this shit and appreciate the quality of fighters K1MAX has.

  • too bad the jap's totally schedule the fights in favor of their fighters. you know these guys just want a crack at masato, but they have all the toughest fights while masato gets to fight weak opponents

  • That fact that the japs favour there fighters has been know since K1 MAX began..its obvious because they want there home grown fighters to win..i think the fighters all know that so when they fight a japanese fighter they have to KNOCK HIM THE FUCK OUT or BEAT HIS FUCKING ASS..

  • Uhm, Masato wasn't even in the race for this title. If there any kind of bias to argue about, it's an anti-Dutch bias.

Of course it makes sense, it says something that the majority of the K1 titles went to the Netherlands, and half the fighters in the final 8 2009 are Dutch. They even list anyone born abroad or whose parents where born abroad under the name of that country (Gago Drago listed as Armenian for example), just to make the listings look less Dutch.

    But, it's arguable.

  • thats nonsense man. tatsuya was chosen by public vote. they wanted to see them fight. masato has proven his ability by beating the best fighters. masato isnt even in the tournament.

  • This is why K-1 MAX is K-1 MAX. Awesome fight from the start to the end.

  • arthur can REALLY use his body in his blows very well. seems like all his attacks are from pure momentum and body. alot better than most fighters. amazing fight.

  • Kyshenko won first round second round was pretty much a tie could have gone to both fighters 3d round was for souwer, extra round was also for souwer

  • fucking brutal

  • arthur win this fighttt

  • This is the best fight for last five years in K-1

  • Willst du mir irgendwas erzählen?

  • Kyshenko won this fight in the first 3 rounds

  • these guys are monsters, their defense is great

  • i love souwer

whether he wins or not his fights are allways worth watching

  • WOW WHAT A MACH!

  • Best K1 fight I've seen this year.

  • arthur is better than souwer

  • what a great fight!!

  • Wow, what a match. Really a joy to watch.

I don't think the draw was correct though. Souwer took the 2nd and especially the 3rd round with room to spare. But then, the K1 often has doubtfull extra rounds, probably just to give the audience more fight per match. The K1 in Lodz had some very questionable draws too.

Souwer is always amazing though. Spinning back fist he couldn't block anymore, hits straight, and he carries on like it never even happened.

  • arthur seems way to desprate in his fighting style in round two

  • power ukrainaaaaaa

  • Hey, good old afropoetry, last time we talked about petr. vs kyshenko, now we're here. I like Kyshenko, but Souwer definitely won the last two rounds. He's more consistent than Artur and throws very well-timed and sharp shots. He's very accurate. Still Artur has tremendous power, and as you said, his power shots are also sapping his own power. :) I like the way he is fighting, Good technique and spectacular firepower. Though, they both are my favorite fighters, so now I like Andy to win the GP
