NO I think it is fine to wanna visit home after the season was done but to spend the entire off season there, wow says something. Face it he went to vancouver for one thing the 10 mil. You could see the last few years in Toronto he gave up, and yes they were rather shitty his last few seasons aswell but that never stopped Sakic, Yzermen or the other greats. All I am saying is he has stated many times that he didn't much care for the Leafs in his final 2 seasons there.

Look at Alfie on Ottawa, not only is he going to stay in Canada after he is done playing he also took huge paycuts to finish what he started there.
