If it wasnt for J. Edgar Hoover, the FBI, and crooked informants who joined the Black Panther Party to bring them down, I think that Huey wouldnt have turned out the way that he did. They stood up to the police when they saw that police brutality was taken place. If the person was arrested they followed the cop and the detainee to the police station and bailed that person out. They were involved with sickle cell anemia.
I am disappointed that Huey turned to drugs due to his paranoia and the fact that he had endured so much in his life which he ultimately paid the price for it. I will never forget him or the Black Panthers and what they stood for. They wanted equality for everyone. They fed 15,000 children every day in their community. They had an ambulance to take people to clinics to get treatment because they couldnt pay for it and they made sure that the people who went to the clinics get fair treatment.

Sorry, but you are wrong. Newton was known to not only sell drugs, but he was also a drug abuser as well, and his addiction worsened after the demise of the old Black Panther Party.
He was killed in 1989 by an angry drug dealer whom he had burned in a drug deal.
at the time of his death, newton was no longer an active member of the panthers. so the point you made about him being a drug abuser is completely irrelevent to what was excepted of an active Panther. quote "While Huey was imprisoned, his party's membership had declined significantly in several cities." It was hueys imprisonment that played a huge role in the demise of the Panther Party. that is what i have gathered from what i have read.
On August 22, 1989, Newton was shot in the Acorn Projects neighborhood in Oakland by 24-year-old Tyrone Robinson Official accounts claimed that the killer was a known drug dealer in Oakland

If it wasnt for J. Edgar Hoover, the FBI, and crooked informants who joined the Black Panther Party to bring them down, I think that Huey wouldnt have turned out the way that he did. He went through hell. He was shot, beaten, imprisoned just because of the color of his skin. His closest friends died at the hands of the police. His legacy will live on forever.

They stood up to the police when they saw that police brutality was taken place. If the person was arrested they followed the cop and the detainee to the police station and bailed that person out. They were involved with sickle cell anemia.

I am disappointed that Huey turned to drugs due to his paranoia and the fact that he had endured so much in his life which he ultimately paid the price for it. I will never forget him or the Black Panthers and what they stood for. They wanted equality for everyone. They fed 15,000 children every day in their community. They had an ambulance to take people to clinics to get treatment because they couldnt pay for it and they made sure that the people who went to the clinics get fair treatment.

Newton was an intergrationist not a segregationist. He wanted equality inside of america. Sorry, but you are wrong. Newton was known to not only sell drugs, but he was also a drug abuser as well, and his addiction worsened after the demise of the old Black Panther Party.
He was killed in 1989 by an angry drug dealer whom he had burned in a drug deal.

at the time of his death, newton was no longer an active member of the panthers. so the point you made about him being a drug abuser is completely irrelevent to what was excepted of an active Panther. quote "While Huey was imprisoned, his party's membership had declined significantly in several cities." It was hueys imprisonment that played a huge role in the demise of the Panther Party. that is what i have gathered from what i have read.
