very good video. wish i could play. need to practise. my guitar strings are all high. is there anyway to lower them cause i find it hard to press down on the strings its the two screws on the bridge

what you need to know about is 'guitar string action' (google / wikipedia) 'action' is the distance between the string and the frets on the fingerboard

@Sawlon I thought u might want 2 know that I played accustic 4 abt 18 years in 1904, when I was riding a racing 3 wheeler atc on the hyway goin abt 70 so no 1 would catchup w/me but a 18 wheeler log truck loaded w/oak trees cought and ran over me. amung the damages was a crushed L/wrist ,and the tendon to my thumb ruptured.so the DR.S conected my thumb tendon 2 my index finger.thumb over base is impossible.the DR.S said 2 wait 3 years after last surgery in 07 b4 attemptin playin its time BRET

@bullsjewells24 Not quite, though the methods are related. If you have an amp, you need to turn up the gain while lowering the volume. This makes the guitar seem more sensitive, which makes it easier to hammer on and pull off. The principle of distortion is that you turn the gain SO high that the volume actually peaks, literally distorting the sound, similar to someone screaming into a microphone. But yeah, just up your gain while compensating by turning down your volume.
