i made one way before i watched this and i just realized it would've been smarter to do it this way. The way i did mine was the same kinda except used i think 8in three doubled strips and i stuck them together with electrical tape and i didn't do the double thing at the top i just did one but they didn't stay as well as yours did :P

Partially, I suppose. I mostly take something that already exists and then try to make it solely out of tape. For example, everybody uses bookbags but certainly not made out of duct tape, that's where I come in.

Most of it comes with practice but a couple tips are to hold the strip of tape with both index fingers with your thumbs on top. Also, it helps to slightly pull the duct tape to the sides so the tape is slightly taught when you set it down (not too much though).
