  • You see in here I get a big problems. I do used to read english but I can't hear or speak english very well, even so i spoke broken english... Is that anyway to fix my issue?

  • Great video.

  • well this video is fo non natives not fo americans.

  • @maria1saline -- Hi Maria. I made the video for anyone who is interested in learning the language as a beginner. So, you're right. It was intended for people who were not born in the U.S. and are learning English perhaps for the first time. The list is applicable to British or American English. I found the list on Wikipedia. All I'm doing here is reading the words.

  • the word there and their @.@ i speak both same help me T.T

  • I am Brazilian. Thank you very much for collaboration.

  • i learned these words in 1st grade -_- oh wait maybe it's because im american

  • @Coolg01 What are you doin' here, so? haha

  • loool I know all of them

  • bravo :)

  • هذا مذهل شكرا 100

  • OK, well if some of America's forefathers had their way we would be speaking German. Just imagine WWII if the people of the US spoke German. Anyway, the US has no official language. We just use English like so many others around the world.

  • Is this for english accents.. Or speaking English? :s lool

  • I said all, it was fun, thanks

  • Thanks.

  • I'll practice those words first.

  • Its all well and good reading out these words, but spoken English is heavily dependent on slang innit..youknowwhatImeans.

  • lol i laughed when he said "not" and "on"

  • I like both British and American English! Cool videos and good job to learnamericanenglish and all the learners out there!

  • Why is there an American guy trying to pronounce English words?

I certainly don't speak like this bloke! fail.

  • @RebeccaMarieex -- What language do Americans speak? Isn't it English? I'm just reading a list I found on Wikipedia. It's amusing that anyone would think that "English words" would be spoken with only an English accent.

  • @learnamericanenglish ummmm... American is a different language? American english is a just language based on English. They are just as diffrent as Spanish and French.

  • @WildMossnose

Dear God, I do hope you're joking.

They're not different LANGUAGES, they're different DIALECTS. It is NOT as different as Spanish and French! You can't learn Spanish and then go to France and have people understand you. You CAN learn American English and go to the UK and be understood.

This is why the world thinks Americans are stupid. /facedesk

  • @learnamericanenglish Welcome to the internet, where everyone with any sort of opinion about anything automatically thinks they're smarter than you. :-D

  • i really found out that the only way to learning english and improve my pronunciation is to speak with any body and improve our english language or any body want to learn arabic i will be there just add my e mail on skype islam.talaat4 and i will happy to participate with any body this experince .. thanks

  • If it's meant to be English accent, you did wrong :p

  • Great vocabularies...

  • @EnglishTeacherFred "This speaker is American" -------Let me correct your limit in geografic and history...... America is not a country, it is a continent from Canada to Argentina. all who live in this continet are americans, also if we call others Latin americans for its ethnicity whose language and ancestry are Spanish , we should be called anglo americans or European American.

  • @fxfithldn saying "The speaker is America" is not wrong then, is it? They never said his nationality was American. He's from the USA, and he is American. Plus, if English speakers call someone from the USA 'American', and you immediately understand that the guy speaking is from the USA, then it has performed its function perfectly, or did you think the guy speaking may be Bolivian? Having said that, I normally avoid saying American, lol.I just wanted to counter your pedantry with yet more.

  • Hello and THANK YOU!! excelent video :) I'd be excelent to improve together. Follow me on twitter @Diego_b4 Learning English throught these ways is excelent for everyone :D

  • i love the british accent but being french makes it really hard to pronounce :/

  • @v1nu5ha1 This speaker is American.

  • Reconocí 93 palabras !!! =)

  • out of those 100, I only say 66. I use 33 of them, but cannot say them (due to my accent) and I do not use 1 (The, I NEVER use the)

  • @Foxybingooo -- Really? You never use "the"? That's kind of an important word in English.

  • @learnamericanenglish

nope, i hardly ever say "the", only in writing, shouting or when referring to "the the" do I say "the".

(eg. "I'm off to pub" or "I'm going to see the today" granted I do do a little emphasis so you realise that there is a the there)

  • @Foxybingooo are you from Yorkshire? It's the only dialect I can think of where 'the' gets dropped (though there's still a slight pause which makes it sound like 'I'm off to. pub.")

  • @learnamericanenglish Proper Yorkists never use "the" but, for example, instead of "Around the corner," we say "Around t' corner." A glottal stop, if you will.

  • @learnamericanenglish People who don't use the probably use it the wrong way like they say "ta, dee, da, or day".

  • That's true ;D

  • My question might be stupid: is that American English Pronunciation , or British English?

  • @FedeLaPi76 - I'm an American, so....

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

  • Very good to learn pronunciation.

    Thanks a lot!

  • it's very hard to remember these words

I bought it on Amazon the title is: 30 MOST COMMON INTERVIEW QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS FOR ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNERS by Anna Piekarczyk ... worth reading

  • Las conozco todas. Por lo menos, no he botado mi dinero en el curso de inglés. :)

  • its sound like a really slow book

  • why did you pronounce "the" like "zhaa" ? Is this american accent?

  • @geveje It's just his accent, he says it right but it just sounds strange

  • near the end i started saying the words out loud and 4:53 scared me

  • So intense.

May the force be with you.

  • Thanks!)

  • where the hell is "is"?

  • It is very useful for me to teach my students these sight words. Thank you :D

  • Nub?

  • Why is this in a playlist for "BRITISH ACCENT TRAINING"?

  • I feel like i'm in kindergarten again!

  • The most common word in English is "You".

  • man, this is so intense........

  • If you'd love to learn more American English, your best course of action would probably be to listen to people and speak to as many people as possible. Try and have small conversations. You'll pick up on the different kinds of speaking and the meanings of words. And don't be afraid to ask questions. We are not all immature bastards like those you'll see on YouTube. Ignore them.

  • Wheres pingas and sparta ?

  • Obama tells us we need to learn other languages. He’s embarrassed for us. I for one could care less what Obama thinks; I’m doing perfectly well speaking one language. I’m getting tired of some one coming into office then looking down his nose at me. How do U say, “I wanna cut his nuts off” in Spanish? OK that’s all for now, the spell check says all my English words R spelled properly, except Barack & Obama, R these some of them foreign words that he wants me to learn?

  • at one point its funny cause he says "as you do at this but" wat if it was butt? xD

  • Ay not aaaaaw

  • learnamericanenglish, according to oxford english corpus, people should be person

  • @LiangYi99 -- Really? How so? "People" is the plural form of "person," but this video is about individual words. I think you miss the point here, dude.

  • @LiangYi99 Person is just 1. People is more than 1.

  • @LethaLinjections1 ishimura? anata wa hontou ni nihongo o kakeru no? or do you just like the game dead space?

  • @kamikazeboy123

    1) Learn how to end words on consonants, not just vowels 2) Learn how to say "R" and "L" properly.

    3) Learn how to say the vowels long and short a, long and short i, and short u.

    4) Learn to say the common consonant dipthongs like Tr, Pl, Fr, and St without puting a "U" in between.

The best way to learn how to speak a language with little accent is to listen to natives speak it on television programs or movies. That's how I am learning japanese.
