LMAO, Suffocation riffs harder to play than Necrophagist riffs? Do you know anything about music theory, in the slightest? Suffocation doesn't even use polyrhythms much less in that time signature or even articulation. So you're saying playing a chorded rhythm is harder than playing 3,4,5 or 7 note coil patterns harmonized at 200+ bpm?

Necrophagist is more difficult to play than Suffocation, agreed. I find Origin, Decrepit Birth, and Spawn of Possession more difficult than both.

Necrophagist isn't too bad once you develop a strong and dexterous ring/pinky finger. Of course you need to sweep pick, alternate, and tap well. Actually I am thinking of quite a few bands that are more difficult for me than Necrophagist.

I don't think Suffocation is even tech death. Mike Smith blasts, but the riffs no.

Yeah man, I like Blotted Science. Ron Jarzombeck is one of my guitar inspirations. Its technical and way out there, but still sounds like music and has melody. I prefer his Watchtower stuff, namely C&R. Spastic Ink is good too.

Viraemia IMO is like Brain Drill. Really technical, but it often doesn't come close to music, just make a tech riff and then another, then just pin them together and call it a song. I can only stand that stuff in small doses, but Ill learn some of it.

@InfiniteMisery003 Okay first, suffocation were the pioneers of technical death metal and are labeled as such, second brutal death metal is not a actual genre (prob cuz there is that many bands that fall under that compared to reg death) its a style that is more riff based and has different vocals and suffocation is also falls under that style.

If you notice, the vocals in suffocation are different than your average growls, and the guitar riffs are more technical than this and harder to play.
