My guess is that in the future, when we've shrunk microchips down as far as they'll shrink, we'll be dependent on the internet streaming our laptop info to bigger, more powerful computers to do the computing for us. Yes, handcrafts are a valuable thing, but don't put down technology. Sure it can't (yet) build a house, but it gets you halfway there, where you can order the number of bricks, cut the pieces, do both EXACTLYand then it all just slots togheter like a Lego set. All the load testing can be done with a computer, very acuratelly at that too. I'm in my first year of a mechanical engineering study and i can already see all the benefits the technology brings.
