  • reading alot neg comments nice vid

  • what the hell?

  • Congratulations you have made a hole in your mothers dining room wall that you will have to patch and probably wont get the correct color match and that area will never be the same good job

  • @Chewylu103

    hahahahahaha

  • @Chewylu103 The room is getting repainted anyhow. It is a good idea to upgrade your electric before you paint

  • Do you have any videos on installing a new outlet on an exterior wall?

  • @curtisjb1983 I will try to film the next on we do. are you looking for anything else?

  • how about, if you want to wire from the top corner and then to the sides not STRAIGHT down like that... ???

  • what about fireblocks? insulation? or what if the other side if the wall has stairs? there will be braces(studs) all in your way. And no, not everyone has an ear for just hearing studs, I actually do myself, but there have been many exceptions where I couldnt. Ive installed TVs in many homes where , due to poor construction, the studs were an inch AWAY from the studs themselves except in certain spots where the drywall was nailed to studs using wooden blocks.( like I said poor construction)

  • wow was this done in the dark...looks like you guys were doing meth or heroin and just put holes in a wall.

  • lol funniest comment today

  • Then what? you have a wire poking out the top of your wall, why not start in the attic?

  • @SeanR1005 : This house had no attic.

  • I'm guessing the wire going down the wall is to refeed the 2 outlets from the other video. So where does the wire coming out of the top of the wall go for the power?

  • Yeah, exterior walls bring it's own set of challenges. With respect to studs, it's essential to find the studs and whatever else is behind the wall with a stud finder.

Usually, the only horizontal studs are at the ceiling and at the floor, but there are always exceptions.

  • @truthspeaks84 Stud finders are nice but experienced electrician can hear studs and blocks by tapping on the wall and listening to the change in the sound.

  • @Generation3electric Can a good electrician also listen to my heartbeat through my chest?

  • @Generation3electric most real electricians use a drop magnet not dog chain to fish a wire lol

  • @MRBIGGIEMAC Every "real" electricians uses their own methods ;)

  • or studs?

  • I take it there was no insulation? Must have been an inside wall.

  • @TSOfan We work in the Philadelphia area. Most of the homes here are over 100 years old.

  • Okay, I bet you love cat5 and muxlabs then eh?
