Why is that everytime a very good contestant in AI got eliminated, some always blame it on american voters.....remember they are voting on their FAVORITE...i don't recall in any Idol season in which ryan said vote for the greatest singer but rather to vote for your favorite........the judges are the ones who selected the final 24 so i think they should be careful in selecting those final 24 whom it will be on the hands of the american to vote for

This was the same night that David Cook performed Innocent. A lot of people feel that possibly some of Michael's votes probably went to save David from elimination because imo that was David's worst performance of the entire season and yes I was and am still a fan.

Basically, I think it came down to voter complacency as it most likely did with Daughtry 2 years prior. No one should ever assume their favorite is safe.

There is no question of Michael's talent and that he should have stayed.

That's one of the reasons why I can't stand this Tv show's host! He's one of the most cold-blooded, shallow, and overrated people on tv! Moving on to Michael's elimination; it was probably fair based on his last performance. The song was too big for him and showed a lot of weaknesses. However, I think he was more interesting and a better singer than others that made it farther (Jason or Kristy Lee). I feel bad for him at how that jerk (manipulated by the producers) gave him that final lowblow :(

Wasn't surprised at all for this one either, I predicted he'd go home this week. His version of "Dream On" was extremely pitchy and forced. I guess most others thought it was amazing which explains why it may have seemed shocking.
