A very powerful and heartbreaking scene. Have to say though, writers need to be judicious in killing characters off. They say its daring to be willing to kill anybody, but do it too often, you alienate the audience as they won't want to make an emotional investment in characters since they could die at anytime. Heroes was guilty of this.

this makes Dean's choice to say yes to Michael even more heart-breaking and wrong. All these people, Bobby, Jo, Ellen, and Castiel, they all believed in Dean so much, they all fought for him, stood by him, bleed for him, and now he's turning his back on everything that they're fighting for, for humanity's right to exist and make their own choices. Feels like Dean's spitting on all their sacrifices. None of them died or put their lives on the line so Dean can just give up when it got tough.
