Makes you wonder... you notice you are having "Cro Magnon" memories. One of the greatest mysteries in science has to do with how Cro Magnon and Neanderthal seemed to develop in the same area from the same species around the same time. Neanderthal was more robust and built for the climate... but Cro Magnon won out with brain power. Makes you think that maybe they want to make us think the Protheans 50k years ago had a hand in it... and why we evolve so quickly compared to other species.

@PROxASSASSINx to activate the sphere you need to have the unknown artifact that Shaiira (sp?) gives you as a reward for completing her quest with general septimus spreading lies about her to the elcor diplomat

...if you did all that and still only saw the first page then maybe you just accidentally pressed B (or pc equivalent) and exited instead of hitting next?

Mostly because humans only live for about 100 years and thats with perfect healthy lives. The other races live far langer lives so they had plenty of time to discover but we always rushed and pushed the bounderies. Thats why humans kick ass.

The Reapers have modified them to be their slaves, the collectors, and the only thing left that is "prothean" in the collectors is a string for a pure Prothean DNA string. The council hasn't been around for a millennium, because the last "death cycle" was 50 000 years before the events of Mass Effect took place.

One more thing, if you have read Revelation, they Council there is represented as a very smart group, which is making smart decisions ahead of time. In the game, they are represented like hot-heads with no brain =O

They were probably studying us because y'know........we were alien to them. The Protheans wouldn't have known about the Reapers in the time they were watching us so I doubt it has anything to do with them interfering with our race to make us able to fight the Reapers.

Not unless there's a twist in ME3 where we're told that did happen.

In Mass Effect 2 you can have another vision if u find another prothean beacon. In this vision you can see that they look just like a collector.

There's actually a sub-mission that takes place in a dig-site. It's filled with Blue Sun mercenaries, anyway, you clear them out and theres a porthean relay thingy. You interact with it and you have another vision. It's the exact same one from the firs Mass Effect only they've added a couple of slides of collectors, as the collectors are the protheans.

Go to the Mass Effect wiki and search Prothean. The first image on the page is presumably an early husk form of a Prothean. Unlike other husks though, the tentacles are natural (although they appear to have been modified to run back into the body).

I encountered this same thing too on all my mass effect characters. Is this just supposed to be some sort've easter egg, a random extra, does it come into play for mass effect 2 or some dlc content? I saved in an elavator on Feros at the bit where you have to knock out the brainwashed scientists. When i load my save, the lift door doesnt open & my only option is to press the lift button. It goes to the loading screen with the mass relay & does fuck all, i dont even here the 360 loading the disc. Any Help?
