You do not have a limit on fading. You determine how long the fade is based on how the song sounds, how it ends, and how you want it. Some songs fade only the very last string of the instrumental which is in milliseconds (more of a stop).

4 - 8 bars. you can fade whenever you want. It jus depends on how you want it to feel or end. these guys are stupid.
