It was extremely encouraging to see Mr.Hare offer his own brand of down-to-earth support to the prevailing opinion of the HELP committee. His question about the contingency plans of the witnesses was also quite insightful, as it emphasized the common humanity of our situation. America needs to realize that trans-folk are people too, with most of the same needs and concerns as everyone else! The best way to gain allies is by demonstrating our commonalities, not our differences.
